early reactions callin this darker, more mature, more depressing than the last
Sawdy there was no early screening in my state this time unlike with ITSV. It was fun being able to see the first one early and not get spoiled.
gwen gets caught in vortex and vanishes. miles in shock. CREDITS ROLE. PT. 2 SOONR THAN SOON.

yes it is. it starts out playful, but towards the end it started getting real dark and i was getting real emotional

I WILL SCREAM IN THE THEATER. Praying you told the truth. Out of this thread. See y'all tomorrow.
So basically that whole "u can't change canon events" thing is bullshit right?

That’s a big part of the story. Miles does it by saving someone in the Indian Spiderman’s universe and it starts to collapse. Not fully, but there’s a huge black hole in the city now that’s being monitored by other spider people.
spider man 2099 went to a universe where he initially died, but his family was still alive and happy. But he’s not supposed to be there, and the whole reality gets decimated so he had to watch his family die.

Yah but at the same time Gwen's dad doesn't become a captain so it's not an event that necesseraly HAS to happen I feel it's hinted at that there's definitely another way to do things

oh yeah for sure it’s hinted at. I think that’s the whole point of the last act is to show the consequences, but Miles is trying to prove he can change it but idk. The emotional stakes for the next one are gonna be crazy.

Yeah the premise for the conclusion is really promising I can't wait to know what happens next really intrigued by the villain too I hope he gets more screen time in the next one
I felt this movie was less predictable than the previous too
brooooo that last like 15 min was a trip. I was literally gasping.

I thought the 1st half was cool but it took it's time setting up everything but once that 2nd half hit oh s*** it was relentless I loved it
Maybe im thinking too deep into it, but seeing Spiderman from the Insomniac games in there and him talking was a trip. Does that mean the multiverse is canon in that game now? How tf they gonna explain that in the next game? Lol

same way i felt. The plot really started kicking in when the got to the indian spidermans universe but that first half was cool just setting up the emotional stakes
