I couldn't care less about his spiderman
What does that have to do with rap music
Is that page ran by white dudes or Indians
You feel exactly what you would feel if you were in his situation, itâs one of the highest points of the movie for sure
Yes. I shaking my head like the Prince of Egypt. Like they betrayed me
I couldn't care less about his spiderman
i hear that. His trilogy wrapped up nicely. do we really need a 4th Spider-Man movie, give another character a chance:
2099
Gwen

Ima assume both
Yes. I shaking my head like the Prince of Egypt. Like they betrayed me
Speaking of; I have a theory about movies like Prince of Egypt (one of my all time favorites) and animated movies like it in that âextremely well made animated flop that shouldâve been a smashâ genre: theyâre movies that didnât have to be animated and wouldâve been smashes if they were live action
You may be interested since you do animation type work and visual art
Could Miguel 2099 be a Prowler 2099 that killed the other Miguel in an attempt to live a life with the other daughter?

Been wondering about Miguel being a Prowler as well. Also, what if Beyond has a through line of âI was/Am a Prowlerâ between 42 Miles, Spider Punk (OG Prowler in the comics), and possibly Miguel

Perhaps the subject matter cause Atlantis and Prince of Egypt is something I could've seen my grandmother watching if it was live action. She grew up with OG Superman Clash of the Titans, 10 commandments, and all that
But the style of it just feels like something that wouldn't have been captured the same if it was live action
I could be wrong cause I thought mermaid was well done live action

I didnât want to overthink it, but I feel thereâs some interesting (and maybe intentional) clues that entertain it that I noticed. Iâll drop them when Iâm not on mobile.

Alright, so pretty much, I have a slight suspicion that the Miguel we're introduced to (I'll call him Miguel 2) is actually a Prowler in his original universe. This is all fun speculation and Iâm sure everything isnât correct.
Initially, I thought it was odd that I never noticed him being introduced with a comic strip/sequence in consistency with every other major Spider-Man in the film outside of just his own comic in that visual pile. We later see at the HQ display the comic strip related to the death of Miguel 1, but never details leading into that end cover of his Spider-Man comic. Itâs interrupted and given no detail. Possibly comedic of course, but still.
Moving on to his presented "backstory" from Spider-Society HQ scenes: I believe that Miguel 2 (a Prowler or non-Spider-Man) was brought into another world where Miguel 1 (2099) had the life he wanted. Miguel 2 kills Miguel 1, and makes an attempt to be 2099 moving forward. This occurred subsequent to the Alchemex test runs which introduced us into the many Spider-Men in the first film.
So why do things go wrong? Because Miguel 2 (a Prowler) killed the Spider-Man 2099 of that universe (Miguel 1), that Spider-Man could not prevent the in-universe Alchemex canon event from taking place, causing the destruction of that world. We'd now have to understand what the "canon" could mean, as I now see it as a time-space disruption that displaces everything except the anomaly (Miguel 2, now "2099") and destroys/undoes all else.
Other minor clues and details: physical demeanor and aggression between a Prowler and Miguel 2, body language, hanging arms/posture during attacks, identical claw marks on the train (present in BOTH films during interactions with Miles). There's a very on-the-nose quip by Miles, which he asks "You have claws? Are you even Spider-Man?" We never see Miguel even swing using his "webs", instead, he lunges and uses grapples to animalistically get around. In his first on-screen appearance against Vulture, he doesn't even have an active spider sense (could be for the comedic attack launched, but still).
Parallel with the ending of Across the Spider-Verse: Miguel 2 wanted to replace Miguel 1 because of his better life in the same way that Miles 42 might want to replace Miles.
I think Miguel 2 realized that Miles has the chance to actually change something and either wants it for himself or simply wants nobody else to have/do what he could not.

Also the Spider-Man doesnât wear a cape quip from the first movie and Miguels first appearance is with the cape

That's another great one.
And even though you could argue that some of them do have smaller 'capes' to glide, I don't recall them being as lengthy as Miguel's in this film, let alone for 2099 in general.
Sure, this can all be a nothing burger... But the concept of replacing another universe's Spider-Man being introduced twice? Something has to be up.

Brilliant
Shamiek Moore kinda talks like Kanye in interviews. Not a good or bad thing just some of his cadence and how he connects thoughts
and she was with another nigga in the meantime
yeah hes a fool if he goes back
I don't want to be a weirdo with shipping wars, but it was clear that Hobie and Gwen were just friends and she was trying to downplay that right?

Only holes are that 2099 comic Miguel is built the same way as this movie version, and we do see a Miguel attempting to dimension travel at the end of the first movie.
Unless we find out the first Miguel we see in Into the Spiderverse is a different Miguel.
