when prowler miles had the heavy spanish accent so you can tell he was raised by his mom
man that s*** was tuff lol
I think the whole theater screamed when Donald Glover show up lol
Some guy behind me was like âwho is thatâ
Ok soooo not to try and make this tie into everything BUT
The first multiversal timeline that Miguel showed before he expanded out to the Spider-Verse looked exactly like how the MCU presents it. Also, Donald being Prowler could be from the MCU thanks to the events of No Way Home and unfortunately Morbius.
So we know that Vulture was brought over to SSU at the end of Morbius thanks to what happened in No Way Home (and actually also thanks to the events of the first Spider-Verse). Prowler was imprisoned due to him being an anomaly which is explained as someone who is not in the correct universe. So could Vulture also be an anomaly?
Miguelâs gonna grab his old ass and throw him back in the colorless MCU

Oh manâŚmaybe Across the Spider-Verse ends with a tie in to live action MCU Miles (canon variant)?

Itâs possible that Beyond does, but it would be a post credits scene if anything
Was the girl in the beginning in Gwen universe who says she can play the drums a variant of zendeyaâs MJ? I got that vibe from her
i loved the movie but am i the only one that feels like the ending kind of makes it lose some points? something like Infinity War is a part 1 but has a clear beginning middle and end to the thanos plot of that movie. villain wants to destroy half of civilization, villain does just that. this kind of just ends in the middle of the story. i get it, its part 1 but idk i just dont love when movies become episodic

Thatâs something infinity war did better since it could be a standalone but it didnât take anything away for me with this . It wasnât a full âendingâ but it was an exciting midway point . The film did so well at keeping me engaged without reaching a climax that it offsets it for me
Also the story beat of miles being the original anomaly and being othered even among the rest of the spider society, f*** man. Miles debuted when I was a kid so I remember the backlash in real time. I legit teared up

Both made by Sony
this takes a big ol steamy dookie on no way home
this is how you to a multiverse story line, absolutely amazing, 10/10
Also was it just my theater or did anyone else feel like the dialogue was kinda quiet at some points, specifically in the build-up to action scenes or during them
Just got out of IMAX, yeah, volume was low as s*** especially for the format. Spider punk was bane tier unintelligible, just quiet instead of loud

Even if they had the same script and everything, this wouldnât translate well in live action
Damn this audio issue is pretty universal seeing it mentioned allot on Twitter
What a weird blunder ?

Itâs a shame because he had a lot of great one liners that I felt would of landed better if they was slightly clearer / in the mix more

Seems like it was requested to be raised up
Get the feeling some projectionists either didnât get the memo or care too much to change it. Hopefully it gets fixed by the time I go a second viewing, I imagine most theaters with the audio low got complaints
In a way I'm glad that the audio issue was universal, I thought I made a big mistake going 4DX for this and it was related to my theater. I hope they get it fixed somehow.
As far as the 4DX goes, honestly, I gotta say, the motion was a bit distracting because was so goddamn intense. During the chase scene, a guy in my theater yelled out JESUS CHRIST because it was throwing us around so much
Loved the rain and wind effects during the last half hour though.
The movie itself is f***ing incredible. The visuals are on another level above even its superb predecessor. The story is great and I loved the ending; I haven't been this excited for a sequel since Endgame. Also, I thought Metro did a great job with the soundtrack. It bumped when it had to, but it also had some moody, romantic and psychedelic textures to it. It deserved better audio mixing.
All in all, this is shaping up to be one of the best trilogies in movie history, straight up. Two instant classics back to back.
