well my adhd/autism do be giving me super powers, so whether or not ya believe in it, i do have unique traits "normal" people dont have or wouldnt understand

I believe we all have traits/varying degrees of cognitive abilities that make people different from one another, yes

I believe we all have traits/varying degrees of cognitive abilities that make people different from one another, yes

    well we def all vary
but there is this boundery that our brains seems to cross(not for all ofc) where a normal brain dont go, youll see alot of geniuses, writers etc in the past had autism most likely too, alot of mfers had pretty weird private social lifes

i feel like if u dont have it, u cant judge, its a completely diff experience of the world, inside and outside

and as someone who was only diagnosed at age 25, yes after my diagnoses the world was a completely diff place, easier for me to access
instead of before that, every step, every word was a puzzle, that never really seemed to fit
like even in my teenage yrs, i felt something about me was off/different, obviously

its the way u think, u move, u talk, u reason, u talk, dream, emote, eat, (not) sleep etc...

and the fact that 9/10 u meet irl, dont have any of those "symptons" u have or interests or whatevers

like how many people can say they actually see music in their head as colors?
i know i sing and rap pitch perfect because of it, since a kid, tell me how many kids can do that? even today as a musician, am still one of the top vocalists in my country, its a rare and unique gift given by autism/adhd, not sum "ordinary" weird stuff so to speak

  • but again am not going to discuss whether u think adhd/autism exists, cause idc how someone that doesnt have it, judges it like a spectator looking from the outside, in
youll never know what its like

i can only say, the diagnoses saved my life, or i wouldve been dead or down the drains of society, playing russian roulette in the sewers

"Yes, ADHD and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can occur together. But there's conflicting evidence on how common it is. Some research suggests that about 50% to 70% of autistic people also have ADHD. But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that the number is closer to 14%"

ive done ALOT of research my guy

Nowhere in your quote does it say they’re the same thing.

  • May 13, 2023

Like if anything that quote disproves what you’re saying lmfao buddy can’t read

Are you autistic or do you have adhd those aren’t the same I’m confused alrdy

Symptoms have a great deal of overlap and they frequently co-occur, although it's worth noting that autism is on a spectrum and can have a very mild presentation which is masked by more noticeable ADHD symptoms

    ? ok

They’re not the same tho and to even entertain that idea because of overlap is nonsense

Yeah they're definitely not the same disorder, but I can understand why OP is grouping them together into a little bundle

But he’s not ‘grouping them into a little bundle’, he’s saying they’re the same thing. Am I reading an entirely different thread than y’all lmao you’re quoting me like I’m the one who needs educated and not OP

Not saying people shouldn't be held accountable for their words since he did say they're "the same" verbatim but a lot of neurodivergent people I know will use "the same" to describe things that are similar to accentuate the relationship or their point

    Autism is a social disorder
ADHD is more about the overload of attention/senses

Which they basically overlap or almost the same

Do u have ADHD or autism?

And if i misworded something my bad, my communication style is different and NGL was stoned when i started this thread

  • LD

Yeah our communication ways are def different from "normal folks"

Took me a long time to figure out sarcasm for example
If someone hides that s*** well, I'll just fall into the trap lmao

  • May 14, 2023

That’s all fine but i just need you to understand and know that adhd =/= autism and your statement of ‘if you have adhd you have autism’ shouldn’t be repeated because it’s misinformation which autism and the other neurodivergent conditions have enough of

@LordPrettyFlackoJR the quote deleted while I was typing so here’s the note

bruh thats the thing, people DONT KNOW what it is, so basically make assumptions

my ADHD had gotten that bad, it drove me to the point of suicide, its not just fidgetting, its also the restless thoughts, troubles keepin up with a convo, forgetting literally EVERYTHING(your whole life), being clumsy because u are rushed(which overtime creates anxiety), speaking "too fast", being impulsive in all areas, difficulty regulating emotions which makes all emotions hit in extremes, forgetting to eat, low self awareness, body dysmporphia, not being able to sleep, thinking different(which causes ppl, specially school yrs, to c u as weird), oversensitive senses etc...

and this ur whole life, and i can tell ya, not knowing WHERE IT COMES FROM, f***s your entire self esteem up in the process, because you know, but u cant figure out quite

i must say, i took ADHD meds and was cured from my anxiety/depression, im med free, really enjoying life as an Autistic ADHDer, being aware of my deficits, learning from it and taking advantage of my "superpowers"

but indeed, like me couple yrs ago, if u dont know what it is exactly it looks easy to dismiss as a fraud

but boiiii i can tell ya, this mind of mine
i aint ever met nobody that thinks like and i done seen many faces and histories
