Yeah a show is the way to go and do it with the manga elements less the film but Idk for directors.

I almost wanna say the Wachowskis could do this even tho it's popular to hate them now. Alfonso Cuaron is another one who no one menrions but I feel like he could do it idk why.

In the end an American version can work if it's the manga and not the movie cause the movie relies more on the Atom bomb imo and war.
