What makes a aotd? i think it's more than just quality. its something ubiquitous and seminal. gamechanging--- everything after is in some way a response to it
why ask this question so early? I think that for an album to be representative of a decade it's gotta come early enough in the decade for its influence to saturate the genre

- a thesis on how posttrap as a genre can lean into its colonial nature and produce a "futuristic" metropolitanism
- imo transcendent vocal performances for the ages

Could make a case for this, Haram, Brass, or Shrines. woods and ELUCID have been on a whole other plane so far this decade. I would argue every album has bettered the former and Aethiopes is currently the peak - for now. Certainly the very best rap albums of the decade so far.
