Nice collection
Hadn't thought about logging my stuff, might give it a go
Y'all are so dramatic, it's cool to have any new album at the touch of your fingertips. Only thing is it's now opened the doors to so much music s*** gets lost. But I prefer streaming over scouring for a DL link, breaking down a zip, paying full price for every drop, ect.
What I mean is for future album, cuz artists are Gonna bloat the he’ll out of them and make it playlist oriented
I’ll do agree that it has allowed us to discover more obscure music
Not a new thought but there's so many albums I listen to, save on Spotify, and then forget I have because it's impossible to organize your library well when it comes to keeping track of it all.
facts even something solid as lil simz new album at this point i cant be bothered lol
i just consume new albums and then dip

Ya need to give that some more listens. Worth all the attention it's been getting

it changed the way people consume music and made the process more passive. only people who really care about albums these days are an artist's true fans, or people really into music as an interest. casual fans will listen to albums once, put their favorites in their gym playlist and be done with it.
it sucks seeing an artist perform on tour and the crowd full of people only knows the lyrics to the biggest hits.
When everything is readily available everything also becomes disposable Same goes with films and tv shows.
I do love streaming when it comes to finding old music tho. All the wonderful discoveries I've made on streaming services has all been music from way before that I never would find otherwise.
But with streaming I can listen to most artists entire discographies, discover new and old music... Basically most of music I know and like is because of Spotify
I believe we are past the " fast food" a***ogy and on to "the microwave" in the sense of movements in music as well as undercooked music being released for the sake of it.
Not gonna lie. Listening to hip hop is a chore to me now. I listen to too much s*** and it's damn near impossible to live with music any more
Back in the day when one of my favorite rappers would drop I would go to the recordstore after school, buy the album(s) and spin that s*** for days. These days there is so much coming out I’m not able to keep up
Same s*** is stressful.

Voice of the heroes has streamed consistent well since its release so….
Streaming platforms like Spotify embrace passive listening
iTunes was the best option to go digital without jeopardizing “staying power” while also allowing artist to still make some money digitally
Spotify killed music frfr
For you maybe but most people just listen to like 4 albums a year max or something
Look how many new albums coming out tonight and I just revisited the roots discogprahy and I now I have to kinda stop until middle.of next week.

No one on this site listens to 4 albums.per year.

People appreciate music more when it was harder to come by.

I’m not talking about this site

Counterpoint: lower barrier to entry so we get to discover a lot more new artists.
Dont get me wrong, I miss those days too, in fact I still have the documentary in its original wrapping lmao
But streaming opened up so many lanes of music
only for the music skimmers
This s*** is so exaggerated
Album formats are still alive & there’s present-day quality albums out there if you look for it.
Y’all just love to use the term “come & go” so much it’s infected ur brains
