    Doing sound design injustice

Facts you’re only getting 70% of this without the sound design. S*** was too good and actually made me jump a few times

The cinema isn’t for serious watching anymore unfortunately, went to Dune 2 a couple weeks ago and these two mfers infront of me were talking the whole time and constantly standing up and leaving and then coming back. Some mfer behind me constantly coughing, other mfers on their phone the whole time. I can’t stand it

Both watches I was a lil sleepy cause am anti war movie to me who is already anti war and understands both sides reprehensible can only say so much . First watch and garland you expect more of a twist or unexpected punch but for many of us we get it . Those that need it most will never see it

I know the film isn’t about that but I’d really like to know what caused the civil war lol

I think the film is actually quite clear in some ways with what it does show. We're shown a president in his 3rd term launching air strikes on his own people and hates journalists as well as police forces being deployed to deny resources to mostly black/brown people as shown in the first scene

Ultimately I think the civil war is pretty much caused in how we think a civil war could be caused today but theres a bit more depth to it in this film than what right wingers or left wingers would think. You see scenes here of 2 snipers with colored hair which is usually a sign of uber liberal people calling one of the journalists a r\*\*\*\*d for thinking there is some ideology at play for why they're fighting just as you see Plemons, a super racist who probably would vote Trump, who has seemingly self inserted himself into this war to enact his own personal form of justice and I think the film is taking inspiration from the real world of how you have liberals criticizing each other for not being vocal enough on certain social causes just as you see MAGA criticizing other republicans as being too corporate for having problems with Trump.

But yeah, in terms of addressing the initial question, I think the war was all started by a corrupt president droning his own people and the war is essentially on one side protecting him and the other side trying to kill him with a bunch of other people enacting their own form of violence to satisfy their own personal agendas and bloodlust

loved the young girl's character and her slow desensitization to violence. feel like that's the movie's main theme more than picking a side in whatever we're dealing with in real life.

Some ppl just can’t understand a movie if it doesn’t give them a cookie cutter moral narrative

The side is becoming numb to the cycle of violence. No longer disturbed but excited by it .
