whats the point of criticism if you're obligated to appreciate 'structure and presentation' of every piece of craft. whos to say which piece of craft has/doesnt have it. whats the point of applying critical lens to it if everything has 'value' of some kind? just staying at the margins?

all criticism is ultimately subjective and some folk can articulate it and thats all there is to it. yes in the revolution we'll line up all the critics and intellectuals yadda yadda yadda. that aint this

Whenever I see a tweet like this I never see any reasoning or explanation given as to why a sexyy red album is inherently worse than a clipse album and cannot possibly be rated higher for any reason (or whichever artists are being compared)

Honestly I'd give the album a 7 or a 7.5 at best. I can see someone giving the album a 6.5 if they don't have that much nostalgia for the Clipse
