KTT becoming out of touch same way old heads were hating on the “mumble rap” wave

they do this every generation and still don't realize they're being left behind

    crazy

  • A Mad Ass Nigga

Don’t let ktt convince you that you’re an old head for not liking new gen rappers. A lot of these niggas are ass fr and they know it. A lot of these dudes are insecure and want to fit in so bad so they force themselves to like s*** because it’s what everyone else like. And they like s*** they think women would like.

You’ve deadass been on a streak lately

  • Sep 24, 2020

This actually proves by point in another thread comparing the 2000's to the 2010's that Kanye and Kendrick carried the 2010's for mainstream rap.

There were dope acts in the 2010's as well like Danny, ASAP, Gibbs, etc. but, without Ye/Kdot, mainstream rap will look generic af.

Fast forward today and we're seeing exactly what I'm saying. There hasn't been any truly game changing or exciting mainstream acts or albums for years.

Theres a disconnect with every generation tho. I dont like Youngboy’s music but the youth clearly does. As you become older your tastes change too, circle of life

Yeah like I see a lot of people itt saying no one great has come up since future and thug but when they were coming up oldheads were calling them ‘autotune mumble s***

Youngboy isn’t on the level of thug and future.

  • Sep 24, 2020

Soon as you find yourself saying s*** like “Man when I was coming up we had (insert artists here)” you’ve officially reached “old head” status

I’m saying this as someone that’s guilty of it sometimes lol

I agree, but I haven’t grown up with him. People older than us will say that thug/future are trash compared to Wayne/Jay/any 00s artist

  • Sep 24, 2020

    yeah probably

  • Sep 24, 2020

As long as you appreciate & like our lord Young Thug, you’re not an older head.

    Lol facts

Future and Thug were not portrayed like game changing musical gods until they proved themselves

It got nothing to do with being an oldhead or not. If you are a real rap fan, you'll know that most of these new kids are trash as f***.

I haven't really enjoyed any new male rappers recently. Then again I hardly listen to hip hop much these days outside the ogs and a few others.

a lot of oldheads were f***ing with future tho, especially around the ds2 era

People willing to die on the hill of my turn being a classic perfectly sums up what is wrong with the current state of hip hop

I saw people come round to him eventually, but a lot of people hated
I think there will be artists from this gen that people come round to eventually as they improve. Lil Baby seems to be one that people are embracing more, I think Roddy could do the same

  • Sep 24, 2020

I been like this since like 2016 tbh. KTT an old head forum now.

  • Sep 24, 2020

nothing wrong with being an oldhead. the state of society today!

so sad that it's come to this

  • Sep 24, 2020

I think theres a big distinction that needs to be made between old heads and dudes who just dont f*** with popular rap. The divide has always existed far as i cant tell but once the soundcloud era hit, we who preferred the “dustier” more “mysterious” underground inherited the old head label and theyre two different things imo
