Every day on my timeline I see multiple videos of people doing these vigilante sting ops where they set up a would be predator.

In theory it sounds like a net positive but nothing feels pure about them and I can't imagine they lead to real convictions the majority of the time.

The people behind them seem in it for all the wrong reasons (money and attention) and the pedos often feel like people who aren't all there who were kinda coerced into the situation.

Don't know what the right answer is with this stuff because obviously you want to protect children and keep predators away but this s*** is getting out of hand.

A guy at my high school used to do this with his friends but instead of filming they’d just tell the pedo to go the ATM and withdraw the max amount if not they’d call the cops
