The gore does, which was my entire point!
It doesn't tho. It looks cartoonish like in the games
On episode 1
This fat f*** is in EVERY show gah damn
This slow motion scene really 5+ mins
i wasnt even exaggerating in my hate of that episode slow mo lasted legit the entire fight

Have you ever seen a cartoon? Which cartoon? What are you talking about?
Finished S1. Ready for S2.
I enjoyed this. Love the world and the retrofuturism.
Walton Goggins has so much charisma it's unfair.
As someone who vaguely remembers the opening hours of Fallout 3 that I played more than a decade ago, I was happy to pick up on some of the Easter eggs like the nuka cola, and the "War never changes" tagline.
Pacing could've been a lot better. That first episode was a chore to sit through. Some inconsistent characterization with Lucy, but overall, I liked her. I can look past some of the clichés and plot conveniences for the simple fact that I wanna see more of this setting.
Please don't be another Westworld

They tried pulling a Zack Snyder but without the slo-mo finesse
Did you guys think the gore was necessary in this show?
Didn't mind it, surprisingly.
The gore was not that big of a deal lol
I’m so excited for season 2 tho man.. never thought fallout would get such a great show
finished this today, it was solid but i don't think it was as amazing as people were making it out to be. visually it looks pretty bad at times and it was painfully obvious. lucy and a lot of the characters from her vault suffer from marvel dialog, lots of "well that went well" type stuff from them. i really didn't enjoy any of maximus' parts, dude just seems to constantly fail upwards and he's not charming or funny enough to make that endearing, he's just a fool. especially at the end where he tries to punch lucy's dad who is in power armor???
but it was pretty cool to see the fallout world brought to life and all the little easter eggs and nods to the fans. fallout has such a strong visual identity and they nailed it. lucy was a decent lead character even though she had lots of highs and lows in her dialog. the ghoul clearly steals the show. even though he's a pretty typical gunslinger the actor just oozes charisma and nailed all everything about the character. i also think they did a great job of keeping us wanting more of him, it would've been very easy to make him the focus
my favorite stuff was the mystery of vaults 33/32/31 and the parts of the show before the bombs dropped. learning about the vaults and their experiments is always fun to do in the games and it was the same here. honestly i would love a show that was just about the corporate politics of vault-tec and the other companies associated with them. that stuff was so good and i'm sure a lot of that lore already exists in the games but i'm unaware of it
even with it's flaws i'm definitely looking forward to a season 2
Fair review
By the time we got to Vault 4 I was starting to think, "This Maximus guy is pretty incompetent, isn't he?"
I didn't hate him as much as the folks in here tho lmao
Walton Goggins was the star, but I also really liked Norm and his storyline. Boy got a mean streak and I fw that
Explain it to me
They're going to New Vegas location of what most fans consider the best fallout game

Adult cartoons exist. You know this, right?

Show me a cartoon that looks like the realistic gore in Fallout
Show me a cartoon that looks like the realistic gore in Fallout
Once again, there is no realistic gore in Fallout. It looks just like in the games
The games are low res. The show is realistic gore. I never found it intense enough to really justify it.
Yes, that looks like a video game. It doesn't look like actual gore. I really never felt like I was getting anything out of it in the show. I'm not squeamish either. It just felt tonally out of sync.
