No cap, "the right" is a dumb sack of s***. Been known. What's clear to me now is that under the right conditions, "the left" - as it's understood in America - is an equally dumb sack of s***.

I took time during the past week to really engage with "Blue No Matter Whoers" to try and explain in long-form why that's a detrimental position to have, and why announcing to the country that that is your position ensures you'll get treated worse than otherwise by the people you're clamoring to give power to. It just doesn't sink in; these mfs are really f***ing obtuse

Every point, no matter how presented, how factual, how many sources were presented about certain "blues" being racist, having poor political histories and even being "red" sacks of s*** was countered by "ANY BLUE WILL DO" from MOST of the people I've conversed with.

Shout out to fellow members of "the far-left" in American terms, aka Progressives. What failed to sink in to the Dems was intuitively understood by Progressives; unfortunately their poignant input was dissonanced away just as casually as mine was.

Which leads to the topic: clearly, rational thinking isn't a strong suit - and people seem to be quite fine with being led by problematic forces, as long as they have an "other" to feel superior to in some way. How long can "I support you no matter what you've done, because you aren't that other guy!!!!" last before the guy you love and the guy you hate are the same guy in practical terms?

i think it’s just the fact that liberals are just evil s***s most aren’t completely affected by s***ty policies that harm minority groups so there is a very nonsensical attitude to the way they set up people like Trump to win elections.

this is what happens when performative wokeness and “yass slay” is encouraged

  • Feb 11, 2020

yup been thinking about this sort of thing a lot lately, the 2 party system is archaic (which is funny enough, not even archaic in historical context really - plenty of previous nations had better political structures and plenty do today) and really goes to show why “duality,” as outlined in works by ppl like Susan Sontag and the like, is so dangerous in discourse and society - but specifically politics.

Authoritarianism = tyranny, that's why we have the 2nd Amendment

  • Feb 11, 2020

but yeah talking wit people like my mom “Blue No Matter Who” white middle aged “feminist,” it’s damn near useless. just a simple discussion about why Bernie is the best tactical and actually genuine choice one can have and instead of really taking any of it in, just a fall back on the buzz phrase type non-answer. liberals are just gross and apathetic in the prolly worst way.

okay well likely after any “tyranny” is overthrown via a mass armed revolution of citizens with guns - the “biggest” citizens with guns who likely long ago co opted the movement and formed a virtual oligarchy at the head - will be in power and likely instill another regime of tyranny lol

nah, bill of rights lets people have their own civil liberties protected from the government's misuse of power (also this is authoritarianism). People would get their guns and go against the authoritarian government who abridges people's freedom.

.... well yes, in theory, but i’m just saying if we got to the point of literal tyranny which was met by an armed revolution of citizens, and that somehow legitimately overthrew the government by force, it would very likely be an endless cycle, and those same people who “fought for freedom” would likely have been b******ized and taken advantage of in the process

we’ve seen this countless times throughout history and you still see it to this day in smaller, less popular countries where there have and are mass revolutions and upheavals of power.

    we’ve even helped in some

If it's even possible in the United States, there's a small percentage.

Even in Venezuela, we recognize the new government instead of the former Maduro regime.

  • Feb 11, 2020

regardless it’s just not as cut and dry and i would definitely not pretend the 2nd amendment is some perfect shield or could even solve the problem

yeah but i’m sure in your new government there has been some corruption, scandals and questionable power structures put in place of the old regime, no? people crave power and especially in today’s day and age it’s even easier to subtlety “infiltrate” a movement for your own motives (possibly changing the whole point of the movement, climb the ranks for selfish desires and ambitions and using the opportunity in the moment to maybe even lead the country yourself, or even just become the monster you were fighting against yourself, all along the way.

i’m not gon front i’m not informed enough on ur country to prolly talk about this wit ur context but i don’t think violent revolution can be seen as fixing the problem 100%. sometimes even those leading the revolution could be “bad guys”

I mean, yeah, you can’t b**** about Trump being awful and ruining America if you’re going to be a child and hand an election over to him... we all want Bernie to win but I’m not going to throw a tantrum if he doesn’t get the nom, grow the f*** up
