I'm a lil over exaggerating, but i don't feel any pressure or worry about any situation they are in cause I assume they'll solve the problem through plot armor for majority of these fights or disputes.

Fighting is amazing, love the earth cast, and quality of animation is great. It just feels like an average show to me instead of a 10/10

man reserve your judgements until you’ve seen the whole thing, i already told you it slows down and gets slice of life-y for a while

AbyssNot trying to defend the CSM anime because i knew it was going to be underwhelming before it even aired, so i didn't even watch it but Shonen anime usually doesn't sell that well when it comes blu rays. 1700 is still a very low number even for Shonen standards and Bocchi's success is well deserved as well
But the thing is like spy x family, JJK, Demon slayer did way better in blue ray than Chainsawman. I don’t know what excuse they having with the anime when they bought ad right every where to promote the anime.

Apparently Japanese audience really likes that kinda stuff like the cartoony faces etc, and hates the anime adaptation. To the point otakus were calling asking the director be removed and sending him death threats.
Damn no wonder the anime felt off to me compared to the manga. I respect that he tried making it more movie like but bro got rid of the charm the manga had in the process. This pissing off the japanese audience is hilarious tho

I swore I saw this anime get praised crazy for a moment, so I was excited to binge it after last season
I love slice of life too, and some of my fav anime are slice of life.

It’s not about the cutey thing. The anime is not gritty and edgy to them. The anime look too clean and also the story too serious. The story supposed to be more funny and comedy like typical shonen manga. Also the color palate suppose more pop out.

They feel the director don’t know what he doing with anime and not respecting the source material, and not doing typical shounen anime that everyone was looking for like bleach or Naruto or one piece. People want crazy fast pace fighing and comedy, and not that serious story along with edgy ness and gritty. They don’t want the anime to look to clean as the shows.

Mappa def dropped the ball on a few aspects. And mind you, I started reading the manga while the anime was halfway thru. It's a decent adaptation - a 10/10 masterpiece? No shot

I just haven't really felt it after the president said "cause I said so" and then his daughter stopped it immediately lol.
I'll see if my thots change after finishing the show.

Glosephwhat did you think was watered down about it? cuz honestly for me the anime made some of the quiet moments in the manga a lot more impactful. I never cared about himeno or powers backstory when i read it but they were the most beautiful moments in the anime for me. I'm sad his unique paneling couldn't be translated to the anime but im not sure if that's even possible
Just because the story can get so crazy and look so crazy in the manga and it's also pretty funny. Both of these things didn't translate well into the anime for me. The art style felt more generic and the pacing in the manga is insane as well and in the anime I only felt that the two episodes they were stuck in the hotel.

I think Japanese people's feeling about it can make or break physical sales. Like I'm sure even anime mostly Japanese ppl like such as Tiger & Bunny make a lot of money because Japan consumes a lot of media and merch

Yeah the direction felt similar to AOT in that sense and it didn't fit the story that much...
