Yeah, I heard he hate anime style and wanted realistic hollywoods movies. I like wtf what he thinking when he saying that lmao
I think his words are being a bit misconstrued, all in all I think he just wanted to do something different and for better or worse it is indeed different
also finished shadow house season 2 it was even better than season 1 very worth the watch tbh
bro s1 was surprisingly good almost everything about it was so simple and straightforward, but the things it saved to reveal in the last few episodes made for an awesome ending. also Cloverworks is slowly becoming one of my fav active studios, they just keep popping out random ass bangers

yea honestly it was a really good mystery, you'll like season 2 too if you liked season 1, the way they build up to their end-of-arc reveals is really good and the reveals are always satisfying

i liked the Chainsaw Man adaptation and i read part 1 before it even finished. yeah it’s missing some of the goofy Shonen charm from the manga, but i totally understand why cutting most of it was necessary to portray it in the mature, cinematic way the director intended.
i probably would’ve liked it either way tho, i love CSM
Just because the story can get so crazy and look so crazy in the manga and it's also pretty funny. Both of these things didn't translate well into the anime for me. The art style felt more generic and the pacing in the manga is insane as well and in the anime I only felt that the two episodes they were stuck in the hotel.
We'll just agree to disagree then. I fw the cinematic approach it gave it fire punch vibes imo. And yea while some things were funnier in the manga some things in the anime were funnier then in the manga especially with the dub at times. they covered a lot in 12 eps 38 chapters.
so, Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid lol. i love the series, thought both seasons were phenomenal and just adore the animation and most of the characters + the wholesome, heartfelt vibes.
but then there are ppl that say it glorifies pedophilia and s***??? and i guess they mean Lucoa and Shouta, but i never got that vibe from them. i always thought it was obvious that Lucoa represents an authority figure for Shouta, and he thinks of her as like an aunt but he’s a young boy who isn’t used to being around women so awkward s*** happens sometimes.
guess i’m just saying i don’t rly know where some people are getting the idea that they’re supposed to be in a romantic relationship or something along those lines. really feels like nitpicking on a damn good show
i should also probably bang out these last 6 episodes of heartcatch before the new precure season starts
Why don't the Earth squad in Mercury ask for anything of value in return in these duels ?
Why the f*** do they let the other people ask for the world ?
I would be furious being their homie and seeing we don't get s*** after fixing up a gundum
Feels like there is no good or bad in Shiki. Question of morals isn’t a new motif but I like how it’s done in this show
New bungou was fire especially considering we just got back to the present those are 2 really good episodes
The ED fade in with that ending
@Blueface @orangejuice @FLIZZY well at least Japan not holding back on the director

A***yzing the director standing in the center as him having main character syndrome and thinking he is the main character of his work is a reach that only terminally online netizens would make
He wanted to make an anime without indulging in Moe tropes, it's not that deep, I hate otaku man
EDIT: There are also plenty of replies under that tweet questioning what the OP means calling the CSM anime a failure, saying it was fine, good, ect.
Damn no wonder the anime felt off to me compared to the manga. I respect that he tried making it more movie like but bro got rid of the charm the manga had in the process. This pissing off the japanese audience is hilarious tho
i actually fw the fact it ffeels like a movie. its completely different from any other anime rn
except Bleach: TYBW because that feels like one big movie too

Ngl a lot of scenes felt very cinematic, it was dope asf.
If you copy the director name 中山竜 and paste on twitter searches. You will see how many people go at him on JP sides
Why Japanese hating on the chainsawman anime?
The adaptation is not as faithful as the japanese fanbase wouldve liked to see it
