The director pissing off the Japanese audience didn't do them any favors at all lmao
What did he do? I'm just hearing about this lol

Apparently Japanese audience really likes that kinda stuff like the cartoony faces etc, and hates the anime adaptation. To the point otakus were calling asking the director be removed and sending him death threats.
My only complaint with mercury is how there is an obvious lack of rules for the dueling committee. S*** is goofy as rule breaking cards in yugioh
gotta wait for this last omnibus volume to come out and i’ll be done with Shaman King
started reading Jujutsu Kaisen, it’s been ages since i saw the first season of anime so it’s hitting pretty nicely. so far i’ve read volumes 0 and 1. 0 was super cool and new to me since i haven’t seen the movie. 1 seems to have been adapted pretty much 1:1 in the anime, but still an awesome opening volume.
you’ll prolly cry like a b**** then when u watch run w the wind
You been tryna put me on this show for a while
Tonight I start

Bocchi bros win again suck it CSM d***riders
gonna be interesting to see how the narrative around the csm anime changes over time. i know ppl were already vocal about their problems with it while it was airing but i feel like they were kinda drowned out by the ppl calling it a 10/10 classic.it seems like the wheels are already starting to turn and you see more and more people talking about the disappointing aspects of the adaptation
It’s happening already
it's over

I think the narrative will probably end up s***ting on it but the half that I watched (I only stopped because rewatching the story wasn't appealing to me) it seemed fine, good enough. Definitely not 12/10 anime of the year like people expected it to be but it wasn't bad imo

I mean I can't get mad since they do use a human for the beginning and end of the process. However, it still looks kind of ugly
Alright, Mercury is cool, but it ain't the show y'all hyped it up to be. It just looks better than most other average run of the mill anime. Literally almost no trouble for the MC and her groupies. I still don't know much about Suletta

gonna check out holyland since the mangaka thats currently the director for berserk now wrote it
did you even watch the show lol
On episode 7. I like it so far, but my expectations befofe hand were completely different.
I'm a lil over exaggerating, but i don't feel any pressure or worry about any situation they are in cause I assume they'll solve the problem through plot armor for majority of these fights or disputes.
just saw ice prince clone get killed
Fighting is amazing, love the earth cast, and quality of animation is great. It just feels like an average show to me instead of a 10/10
Some of these anime youtubers are real sickos brah
I think eyepatch wolf might be the only normal one

I’m usually really cynical and I liked it. However reading part 1 of the manga made me realize how unique it could’ve been. What the adaptation did is water it down a little. I still think it’s not as bad as people say and compared to other anime people hype up it stands out with the story and characters.

what did you think was watered down about it? cuz honestly for me the anime made some of the quiet moments in the manga a lot more impactful. I never cared about himeno or powers backstory when i read it but they were the most beautiful moments in the anime for me. I'm sad his unique paneling couldn't be translated to the anime but im not sure if that's even possible
