Fr there was a time where they actually had some quality control to decide what they were going to animate. Like the Manga needed to have some pedigree. Nowadays itās like the Anime gold rush where producers are running around trying to animate everything they can to get a hit.
On the bright side, a manga like Bocchi wouldnāt have been animated 20 years ago but thatās really one of a few good examples
Alright, Mercury is a cool ass show with episode 11 and 12
The pay off was worth it for the slow burn build up from prologue to episode 11.

The only reason why CSM's low BD sales are a big deal is because its one of the most shilled anime of all time. They went all out with marketing and CSM/Mappa fanboys were talking about how it was gonna be the biggest anime of all time. There are dozens of shows each season that sell similar amounts or worse, but nobody cares because those shows didn't go out of their way to paint a target on their back. Nobody actually cares about BD sales, people are just taking the opportunity to have some fun and troll CSM fans.
The coping is extremely satisfying to watch Ppl going out of their way to comment under japanese posts on twitter to making threads with graphs to show how blu-ray doesnāt matter
Alright so CSM is like Drake
Nah come on bro, please donāt compare CSM to drake. At least Drake s*** sale even people hate it. ššš
Bakemonogatari sold 80k first week let that sink in
Yeah also the whole series sold one million too crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2013/12/03/monogatari-anime-series-has-sold-1-million-dvdbd-units-in-japan

Ehhh i wouldnt say that. We only got the goodish, popular anime from back then in the west, It feels that way cause anime is so popular now as a medium and with fansubs and crunchyroll taking everything It can we get exposed to more of what Japan Is producing. I guess the amount of dogshit is bigger, but theres a lot more anime now in general. I do feel we get a lot less great anime originals tho, but maybe im just not aware of them

I feel like majority of anime from every season is some mid that nobody is interested in

Yeah of course, theres a ton of s***ty isekai and mid anime adaption of mid manga, but i think this was the case in the 90s too, although to a lesser degree because the industry wasnt as big and of course instead of isekai it was another trend. And this goes for basically all media, a lot of s***ty music is released that none of us will listen to in every era. Plus add the fact that only the good s*** is remembered so we do get a skewed perception of previous decades

I'm pleasantly surprised tbh lol. I guess how goofy the school duel set up was distracting me from the tension building up in the background.
April can't come soon enough

i really appreciated the school aspect of it because its something that hasnt really been touched on in prior gundams but also anyone familar with the series knew it was kind of a setup for whats to come after. basically it was doing something new/fresh for the series while paying homage to its roots.
glad you came around though
that being said that hand slam is one of the most bizarre things ive seen in a gundam
up there with orga's death scene from iron blooded orphans

Easily one of the best vampire series Iāve seen. What started off as a horror slowly melted into a battle of ideology. I know some of the characters needed a bit more fleshing out but when looking at the bigger picture I didnāt mind. Haunting soundtrack alsoā¦ Iāll watch the OVAs next

Been like 7 years since I seen it but I remember the OVAs being some of the best moments of the series.

Yeah but with music at least itās a different group of people making them and not a few big studios who overwork their employees
