lol slavery in this medium is definitely more geared to the male neet demographic than anything else. There's a reason any time it is used as a plot device there's like a 95% chance the slave is female

The Familiar of Zero is an anime with a female protagonist who essentially gets a male slave that does everything she asks. She beats him, makes him wash her clothes, and makes him even dress her. Its absolutely a female fantasy in that it’s about a useless and bothersome girl who gets a man to do everything for her and improve her life and be her slave (a slightly more extreme version of virtually every shoujo)

And there’s quite a few shows with premises similar to that or where the guy is someone’s butler or servant

It does because slavery isn’t just something exclusively for the male fantasy in this medium (or any others)

Slavery in male fantasy feeds the idea of having control over someone like they’re an object and that being a dream (though again I think MTs depiction of slavery has been one built on empathy rather than egotistical control, unlike shield hero which is built on owning a girl who will fall in love with you)

Slavery in female fantasy is based on the idea of a traditional man who will satisfy all your needs and improve your life in every way while you do absolutely nothing for them.

It’s the same idea because slavery in anime usually is given a fantastical lens of a slave girl who wants to work for you and you’re giving her a better situation. She essentially is a butler.
