I thought translation quality would only get higher as time went on but because they simuldub stuff now they got these translators dubbing whole ass episodes in like 24 hour spans and they're bound to make mistakes when doing it

JonzYeah, but my point is, "Why?". Personally, I think watching anything dubbed is insulting to the creative team behind the TV show, movie, anime, or whatever.
At the end of the day, ofc people are free to consume that type of content as they please, but man, the concept is so crazy to me.
Only good argument I heard is being able to do s*** in the background without missing too much
I’m not an English speaker anyway so I don’t mind reading subs

Trash Staronly reason i prefer subs is cause as someone who only knows english, i'm oblivious to how cringe the performances can be or how cringe that s*** may sound in japanese cause i don't know the language, idk how that s*** is supposed to sound. so in english dubs i'm painfully more aware of how cringe stuff can be cause i know how english inflection and voices should sound, and often time dubs are over performed to the point of parody, which ruins whatever immersion or suspension of disbelief is required for me to enjoy the show

I’m not perfect sometimes I just be on the phone. But I feel like watching it 2x is just silly. If it’s such a chore to watch I’d just drop the anime
