Anyone seen Serial Experiments Lain? Worth it?

I remember watching that years ago and dropped it 3 or 4 eps in when she was in the club acting MAD weird. Whole show is weird but imma finish it someday.

It has a nice coat wrapping around its writing. A lot of this first season is just slightly elevated shonen anime fighting arcs. You can feel the difference from the first 3 episodes compared to the mage exam arc.

Watched it recently, definitely worth it
