I think conservatives believe liberal talking points are an overreach - ban all semi-automatic weapons.

From what I can tell, they see the issue as being violent individuals rather than access to guns. And since we’re polarized, conservatives are pushing permitless carry to appeal to the folks that hate the idea of banning guns.

I think there’s opportunity to meet in the middle and add more roadblocks to and monitoring of gun ownership.

i mean, they're both rightwing, they really aren't that different.

the meet in the middle point is gun reform and stricter regulation. they've said no, so more ppl will be annually slaughtered until enough ppl get upset about it and the gov enacts legislative change.
