Unless I'm desperate no.
Im happy just to have graduated this year
My debt isnt gigantic but it still sucks d***. I dont want to increase it when the job market actually complete ass.
Sounds like a bad investment unless you're getting a masters that damn near guarantees a job
The masters in financial mathematics has a 90% job guarantee lol but i dont believe in that bs anymore
Weird. Even i can w my trash ass masters
Maybe you should do some interning
I live in canada, ontario and i read other people also aint getting interviews so maybe its better wherever u live
Tbh I got way more out of my masters than my bachelors. I didn't do s*** in undergrad because I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I should have waited to start college.
Really found myself in grad school. Figured out a plan, got better at networking, made friends, generally grew tf up. Now I have a job where that masters nets me a stipend on top of my salary.
But that's just my experience. Just scan the market and see if you really need an MA. Teachers do in my district because it jacks up your rate by default, but not every job needs one.
My boy got masters and became gym teacher for elementary school. Started with 75k
This is what i wanna do but still no interviews for even entry lvl roles
keep doing interviews
dont stop!
I did a one year statistics major with financial concentration after a year ofworking post undergrad and I thinks it paid off for me. I’d say go for it op

M.A. in clinical psychology, I want to have my own practice eventually
Yup, doing one in Statistics rn. I want to go into academia anyways so I think I'll be okay once I finish. Maybe work for a couple years and then do a PhD
I would give it a full academic year of aggressively applying before getting a master's if situations allow it. You might land a job that will pay for you to go, who knows. Either way just keep pushing fam

How's the course work compared to undergrad
How's the course work compared to undergrad
basically same level as my fourth year courses thus far, nothing crazy
I need it for the career I want but I'm not rushing
In 20 years niggas gonna need a PHD to get a good job lol

The Netherlands b
But i think its not easy on the job market either
Get interviews but mostly turned down too
But ur degree is a lot more difficult to get, expect you to be good in a min, maybe it just takes some time. Meanwhile you could just do a couple months of interning
not anytime soon and i would definitely want it to be funded by my employer if i chose to pursue one.
get a job first and then have your employer pay for your masters. that's how I'm rocking

Word. That's dope. I have a MSW, but don't plan on ever doing therapy. A lot of people take the MSW route as it leaves them with more options and an "easier" path, but if you're dead set on doing therapy then that's a good decision.
BA in Professional Writing, I wanted to get into copy and publishing but decided it wasn't for me.
My MA is just listed as English. Currently I'm a high school English teacher, I make 60k with a great benefits package and it's my first real job out of college. Hoping to land 70k when I start working in the district.
Oh nice. For my undergrad I did English with a minor in Professional Writing.
That’s tight man—good for you.
BA, decided to get some work experience first and then think ab masters again later. didn't have any cool options back when I graduated anyway. really though job >>>>> uni bc you cant imagine how much I hate homework
I did just because my school offered an MBA for one extra year, and finding a job was difficult given the covid circumstances
So far its been worth it, I’m learning more than I did in undergrad and im building a lot of connections that will help me as well

I feel like I've learned way more real world experience so far in grad school. Also, I felt really lost coming out of undergrad and for me grad school has helped me figure out more about myself and what I’m meant to do imo
