well, when you make music making something that sounds good is not enough....you have to be innovative and have an identity

getting inspired from other artists should work as a crutch to get you on your feet.... not your main source of inspiration

for example, try to imagine what would the soundtrack to your life sound like (genre, rhythm, vibe etc) or if you draw imagine what your inner self would look like (form, colors, design)

you ever sing along to a song thinking ''that's how I feel right now, I wish I could express myself like that'' ????
