I think after the sb people are over NLU atp, Kendrick really got everything he could out of the record and the victory and it’s over now. GNX was a great project/great era but I think the people are ready for a fresh start

PND project will be crucial for Drake. If he’s on there treadmilling and riding PND coat tail people may think he’s officially washed but if he sounds energized and the project sounds fresh I think people will f*** with it and be ready for another Drake solo.

A lot of people have permanently written him off though so even if he drops a MBDTF level magnum opus (which is beyond unlikely atp) those people still won’t budge but that’s okay, he just needs to focus on salvaging what he can of his fanbase and really giving them quality music.

He gotta stop taking this s*** for granted man… that’s one thing about Dot, he ain’t take a single project for granted yet and he knows it’s a privilege to be in a position to influence the culture the way they both are and he shows up with his A game every time, through all the changes in rap and the changes within himself. And I would never say everything from more life to now is utter garbage that would def be hyperbole. He’s had some great moments but his biggest problem has been his LACK OF FOCUS

He just goes in the studio makes music and when he has enough songs for an album/mixtape he puts it out. That ain’t gonna get it done. SFG, TC, NWTS, and IYRTITL all are beloved because they were FOCUSED. Had a theme musically that he stuck too, had effort on production and a cohesive sound… everything after that (aside from HNM and Her Loss) has been all over the f***ing place and he needs to get through his head that isn’t a viable strategy for a good project. It’s just not. It may cast a wide net and bring in a bunch of streams but nobody leaves the project satisfied.
