Anybody else tired of rappers holding their hands infront of the camera like that?
don't know what you're tlaking about
The snares aren't weak which makes it nice
a real MANS snare not that kiddish s***!!!
You ever get tired of this?
Serious question. @DAVIDP
I just posted this to spark discussion.
If I was gonna make a thread about someone I'm listening to right now nobody would even listen to it
If niggas wasn't outright biased on this site towards boom bap, I'd open the discussion that the 90s and the 2000s had their own "same soundy" templates as well that sounded hella tiring to the generation before them.
Every generation/decade has this same issue. It’s because niggas Aint grow up during the 90s. We just see the highlights and impact. But I know dam well it was alotta trash and bullshit and a bunch of same sounding niggas too lol
i also heavily fw new gen Memphis rappers like Dolph or Glock because they got actually dope voices, not that high pitched bs

You're definitely right though
The dominant sound always just gets really boring

!https://youtu.be/JT9_nD5YnoUAnd dolph has an amazing ear for beats too
a real MANS snare not that kiddish s***!!!
We need Luger 808s back as the dominant ones, that s*** was HARD and complimented music so much better than farts

i’d argue it was more due to technological limitations regarding popular samplers but there was underground artists making innovative s*** at that time too
Crazy how DJ Premier boom bap drums will always bang the hardest
When is Boom Trap coming?
Imagine stuttering hi-hats with fart 808s and premier snares

on god, Lex & Southside always had the hardest bounce tbh, s*** is really hitting

Crazy how this still sounds fresh and it's 11 years old.

And you'd have niggas from the 80s that would argue the Lex Luger and Zaytoven era with "niggas barely rapping or slurring their words" was hella tiring to listen to as well.

I can literally copy paste complaints from my dad about Gucci Mane, Waka, Jeezy, and switch out the names and yall wouldn't see a difference from your average KTT thread about music that wasn't even made for your age demographic.
I love that song
Youngboy really said "ima nut in that hoe like a sperm donor" that s*** is as nasty as that lex luger beat

Yeah, that's actually true to an extent but eventually they kind of started to respect it because that era really was when dudes were going HAM in the booth. Even early Thug songs when people hated on him he SPAZZED on the mic and dropped some crazy bars.
I do understand the criticism for the soundcloud era though, because s*** really did take a 180 and lotta dudes weren't saying s*** in their music. but that IS over now, we are in the street rap era where they are saying stuff in their lyrics but idk it just really isn't too good sounding to me because i got hella bored with it
