Yeah, that's actually true to an extent but eventually they kind of started to respect it because that era really was when dudes were going HAM in the booth. Even early Thug songs when people hated on him he SPAZZED on the mic and dropped some crazy bars.
I do understand the criticism for the soundcloud era though, because s*** really did take a 180 and lotta dudes weren't saying s*** in their music. but that IS over now, we are in the street rap era where they are saying stuff in their lyrics but idk it just really isn't too good sounding to me because i got hella bored with it

What are you talking about? Do you not remember the Lil Wayne memes or the jokes about his "I am music" tattoos or the youtube comments?

the problem is not them not spitting hard, the problem is that they just be spitting hard without putting accents in the flow and not actually riding on a beat; there're exceptions of course but most of the time they just spit fast and it makes it sounds robotic
Dam Luger s*** still sounding fresh as hell
It's gonna age way better than pierre/fart808s

remember in highschool EVERYONE was rocking with lil wayne even though they made fun of him lol
that was also the era where people would be like "lil wayne and eminem are my fav rappers"

What are we labelling street rap in this discussion?
Lets say stuff like Roddy, YB, etc,
all those guys riding that wave right now too
I can literally copy paste complaints from my dad about Gucci Mane, Waka, Jeezy, and switch out the names and yall wouldn't see a difference from your average KTT thread about music that wasn't even made for your age demographic.
You can do the same with shiny suit era, gangsta rap, etc. People always have complaints about the eras succeeding the ones that they came up in.

fam. Niggas think it was JUST Dolores Tucker that hated 90s rap.

Oh, then yeah 100% the sound has been stale for almost half a decade IMO
It's gonna age way better than pierre/fart808s
I feel Pierre sound gon age well tho tbh. Pierre got hot off that certain beat pattern but he quickly showed he was versatile in his melodies
