How Producers find inspiration and how Rappers find inspiration are 2 different things.
Even Michael Jackson and Prince had a very known rivalry and were competitive. You can argue against a ktt poster but even the greatest artists ever had that competitive mindset outside of Rap.

It's not like it's toxic s*** has always been used in a healthy way
Hip-hop is so dominant and distinct because of its competitive nature
And in a way it's black expression traditionally seen in sports put into music which is pretty damn cool and encourages niggas to keep they game up

It achieves the same purpose ,using another persons success or talent to fuel your desire to improve your own.
One is just drawn from idolatry and the other from a desire to be the greatest in your field.
There are levels to competition and there can be healthy competition, those of you arguing against it are only thinking of the most extreme, toxic cases of it.

Im a naturally competitive person.
It achieves the same purpose ,using another persons success or talent to fuel your desire to improve your own.

Nah I hear you but that’s not a big deal to me. I’m a fan of battle rap niggas will do all that then hug when it’s over because it’s not a big deal because they’ll still do what they do and they have real life outside that.
