Producers play the background in comparison to the artist for the most part.
How Producers find inspiration and how Rappers find inspiration are 2 different things.
Even Michael Jackson and Prince had a very known rivalry and were competitive. You can argue against a ktt poster but even the greatest artists ever had that competitive mindset outside of Rap.
What would you say is toxic?
Literal arguments, tearing someone down, jealousy, vindictiveness, things outside of the actual song b

nah not really
to be the best is the be better than everyone else

It's not like it's toxic s*** has always been used in a healthy way
Hip-hop is so dominant and distinct because of its competitive nature
And in a way it's black expression traditionally seen in sports put into music which is pretty damn cool and encourages niggas to keep they game up

Im a naturally competitive person.
It achieves the same purpose ,using another persons success or talent to fuel your desire to improve your own.
One is just drawn from idolatry and the other from a desire to be the greatest in your field.
There are levels to competition and there can be healthy competition, those of you arguing against it are only thinking of the most extreme, toxic cases of it.

Yes you can, people do it every day b

It's just facts b
You can ignore that destructive feeling you get while competing all you want, doesnt mean it doesn't exist b
More cool than corny, but when exaggerated in proportions it is bad though, ex.: things going far to people killing their feud adversaries
Theres people in the world that think the East coast vs west coast comepetion brought us some of the best music in the world b
While people in that world wish that s*** never happened b
