No it makes sense given the inherent oversaturation of the genre. Rapping is something that’s easy to learn, hard to master, with a huge payoff. Makes perfect sense.

Competition obvi an integral aspect of the history of the genre but it’s become antequated with the shift in the way audiences interface with the music

This too ATL/South has run hip hop for so long because, while they have their beefs too but obviously nowhere near as many as NY and Cali, they made hip hop about what it was at the VERY beginning; fun music to party to.
