what's the best cases y'all using? bout to order my 12 pro max case

Honestly I only used it because they gave it to me for free, but the Apple silicon case has been amazing for me. Super thin, lightweight, has saved my phone from a couple drops that would’ve smashed their corner. If you’re looking for something with a light profile that’ll protect your phone I would recommend it, I know not everyone is a fan though

ARM mac/books are gonna be brazy in a few years

Nah, they’ll need time for sure. Native apps will be fine but other developers will need a couple years with the architecture to catch up

I’m still rocking with the 11 so it’s the open-bottom design. Hasn’t been a problem so far, it’s thick enough at the corners that they should take the impact unless you drop it in a very specific way

we will see.. I think the virtual x86 layer could be very impressive

the A14 benchmarks make it seem like they could run x86 with brute force on top of ARM and it would still be faster than most PCs

maybe I have too much faith though

but yeah the machines will be next level though once everything is fully switched over to ARM based instructions though

I really just care about VST/AU support lol feel like everything else I use is just a Web Browser, Microsoft Apps that are confirmed working on ARM already and Photoshop which is also already on ARM

Glad I downsized to a regular, as it fits better in my hands, but I do miss that battery life
