I was content with my iPhone 6s and had no issues keeping it for a while longer as I don’t really use my phone much anyways and my mum surprised me with an iPhone 12 , really grateful i just have no clue what to do with it atm

So is TouchID as slow on iPhones as it is on an iPad?

Why?

So some of it might be due to using an iPad & having an Android phone, but:

The way Apple implemented TouchID is idiotic. Why do I have to press a button for my fingerprint to be recognized? And even after my finger is on the button it takes a few seconds to even unlock.

Why do I have to use a fingerprint or a password to download 100% free apps on the App Store?

Even with animations turned off the amount of time it takes to bring up the App Switcher just feels long. I realize you can do swipe gestures or even show Recent Apps in the dock.

Weird things like not being able to place the cursor where I want cause the on-screen keyboard is still up.

Switching between the pen and keyboard is wonky, and why does the pen only work for SOME touch required things? Why let me scroll, make selections or enter in text with the pen, but I can't even bring down control center?
