Watching now. Cannot believe they just bragged about gaming on the f***ing Air
Also, as soon as i saw a touch bar on the new macbook pro...instantly disappointed
tf are they doing?
Also..."STILL" just $1299? Wasnt one of the supposed benefits of switching to in house silicon that it would drop the price a little?
Intel's most overpriced chips are the high end ones
I think the Machines that are $1800+ will see a small reduction but yeah they're also trying to raise their margins lol

They aint even trying to hide it lol. God i hate tim cook and his team so much.
New laptops are trash and are glorified iPad pros
the old laptops have overheating issues and are outdated
they aren't bad but these things are going to be incredibly faster with sustained use
going from 14nm to 5nm is a huge jump for Mobile devices
ARM CPUs use less power and are way easier to cool they are the future Apple is just making the switch first on the Desktop side

yeah they're definitely trying to milk everyone
would have been cool to see a $800 Air
the Pros screen is looking incredible though at 500 nits, still it feels $100 too high tbh
Thank you, Mr. Sankara
Mr. Sankara only uses open-source operating systems. he's a man of the people
Surprised at the negative reception. You just know he's gonna love it when he actually uses one

i dont think its a negative reaction per se, it just a skeptical look at things. at first when these were rumours, everyone thought the user was not gonna benefit from just performance, but the price was gonna be lower, that is clearly not the case.
he is definitely right in thinking that these are more proof of concept rather than machines for real work. the 3rd and 4th gen is when they show their value.
he will defo put test the m1 properly which should be interesting
macrumors.com/2020/11/11/m1-macbook-air-first-benchmark
the 10w version of the M1 in the Air is faster than every Intel Macbook out & every Windows Laptop in existence
can't wait for the models with more cores
it has way better single perfomance core than any computer on the market beside the new Ryzen Desktop CPUs
i just rewatch these A1 Graph if this is true apple might just f*** the whole laptop market up but we have to wait for the review
it easily beats AMDs lineup of Laptop CPUs
these look like the fastest Laptop CPUs ever made while using 1/5th the power
that single core speed going to feel snappy af
we will have to see how these do in real world tho

Damn this is crazy efficiency and performance
That single core boost is > 5950x lmfaooooo
If they stop f***ing around and drop ssd/ram price it a wrap for everyone
That single core boost is > 5950x lmfaooooo
yeah it's insane a 10w Laptop chip that is fanless competing with AMDs new Desktop chips
I knew these would be fast but I under estimated them

seriously I hope the prices on the higher end stuff isn't this insane
the mark up on the upgrades is crazy
crazy it's faster than the most expensive i9 Windows laptops for cheaper.. a $999 Air will be faster than a $2k Dell XPS easily but it will be slower running x86 code hopefully we won’t be running much x86 stuff for long tho
these stats for M1 are insane. a fanless macbook air outperforming an i9 macbook pro is just astonishing
a few people in this section told me they didn't think Apple could compete with Intel or AMD for years in performance
yet they've had iPad Pros for 2 years beating mobile i7s while using far less power so this isn't really a shock and is why I always said these things would be incredible out the gate
