Likely the other way around. ARM will make its entry in a lower-end macbook like the Air at first, developers need more time to catch up and make their software compatible, a lot of stuff won’t initially be supported for the ARM computers

yeah the rumors for a mini led backlit Macbook Pro 16 and iPad Pro have been pointing to very late this year or early next year

I imagine they'll do ARM in the Air first and yeah the Pros won't have ARM for a while, too many Apps are written in x86-64

Shifting to ARM

Alright guys these are my predictions that I can make an educated guess on based on everything I've read

iOS + iPad OS 14

• A new home screen with customizable extensions
• List view from Watch OS
• Better notifications for iOS. Show calls as notifications instead of full screen (wtf how does it still do this)
• a new augmented reality app. in fact, i expect AR to be all over this event
• new features for iMessage
• some emoji bullshit

Mac OS 10.16

• Catalyst apps coming to Mac OS: updated iMessage and FaceTime

The ARM Announcement

• Will give developers time to recompile all of their apps
• Will most likely announce their moving ALL their Macs to ARM (not just the cheap ones), so as to not fragment their user base

The New iMac

• Slimmer design, no chin
• No more spinning drives or fusion drives
• I wonder if it will have a pro-motion display? Cause I doubt they're gonna go OLED, miniLED or microLED just yet
• Face ID
• I've seen rumors that in order for Face ID to work on a Mac, it would need some type of Neural Engine that the iPhones and iPads have that the T2 chip in Macs doesn't. This makes it likely that, for it to work, new Macs will have a new T3 Chip with the proper hardware for Face ID

My wish list:

• A much needed stability update for Mac OS. No new features like Snow Leopard
• A new iMac Pro! I think its so cool i hope they don't kill it off now that they have the Mac Pro
• Bring back target display mode on the iMac!

Kuo confirms that an all-new design iMac is launching imminently, and it will apparently be Apple’s last new Mac featuring an Intel CPU. Starting in Q4 2020 / Q1 2021, Apple will begin its ARM transition with the release of the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro running on Apple silicon, according to Kuo. The updated iMac — featuring a 24-inch display with thinner bezels — is scheduled to switch to ARM at a similar time.

Kuo expects the Mac models will offer performance improvements of 50-100% over their Intel predecessors. The transition timeline proposed by Kuo is aggressive, and faster than some other reports.
