if you ever wanna get heavy into music or video editing, the pro is gonna be the better choice. both will work in the situations you listed, but i'd personally go with the pro cause there's more room to grow in case you decide you wanna get heavy into video editing or logic. if traveling light is a big concern/priority for you, that's where the air might be the better choice.

I have the 16gb ram one for my work laptop
more than enough for me imo, have had a bunch of illustrator and Figma files running with an external monitor and haven't really noticed any slowdowns
haven't tried any music or video production tho

But there's a lot of downsides along with pros on it

ya I think Spotify and Apple Music are both p good tbh
both have lil pros n cons tho and at the end of the day it depends on what u value most as a customer
