Windows has terrible security.. nothing is containerized so apps can easily steal your data and send it god knows where. Also it's a mess, after long enough a Windows install becomes unusable. The way the whole OS works is so outdated. Unix based Operating System are so much more reliable and almost always offer better long term performance.
If you genuinely care about security you wouldn't use macs either. Apple is not only proprietary, but keeps encryption keys of all your products and can lock/unlock them at any time they want. Not to mention the encryption level of their most popular products like their messenger and icloud is rudimentary. And dont forget apple was directly apart of the PRISM documents and works alongside the NSA to keep backdoors into their products for easy NSA access. these backdoors dont exist in a bubble and can be abused by hackers if they wanted to.

I always use Cent OS or Qubes OS when I'm doing some thing that makes me concerned about security. Mac OS (all Unix OSes) gives you more control over security than Windows was all I was really saying,
Windows give you no controls that are universal for Screen Sharing settings and keylogging. The level of security you get with Apple products isn't anything Incredible there are versions of Linux & FreeBSD that are much better but Mac OS has way more App support.
A lot of Apps only run easily on Mac OS or Windows unfortunately and I'd rather use Mac OS over Windows. We live in a world where people really only focus on two OSes so for a lot of stuff you are forced to run one of the main OSes.
Yeah I don't use iMessage cause I don't use an iPhone, I try to use Signal but tons of people ik refuse to use anything besides SMS lol. Yeah Apple definitely isn't as privacy friendly as they claim. When their Servers slowed down during the Big Surr update some of my App Store apps wouldn't launch cause they were trying to check with Apples Servers.. Mac OS sends the Data of what Apps you use and when your computers turns on 24/7.

I agree, there is more opions for security on Mac than Windows. I was talking with Linux in mind, because i use Artix for my main workloads, but I'll admit the unix philosophy does allow for greater control and protects permissions from being abused. I guess its more of an issue with those permissions being closed rather than open source, but i feel you understand that so yknow lol

For sure yeah I definitely agree

Also I've never heard of Artix looks interesting though
I honestly don't have much experience with Arch based Distros, might have to check it out
1 AMD 5950x
4 6900xt
8 PCIE4 Samsung NVme Drives in RAID 0 for a theoretical speed of 70gbps
1600w PSU
wouldn't be faster than a Dual Xeon Pro but you could get a 64 core Threadripper and beat it in Multicore CPU perfomance
here are some benchmarks of the $7000 Mac Pro vs a $2000 CPU you can build a $3200 Hackintosh with
https://gadgetversus.com/processor/amd-ryzen-threadripper-3990x-vs-dual-intel-xeon-platinum-8280/
look the single AMD chips beats the 2 Intel chips while using far less power
the Mac Pro isn't that great until Apple can get their own Chip in it
anything Intel in 2020-21 is outdated Tech at this point
Dude just didn’t even reply lol, why even make such a baseless easily probably wrong argument

yeah he was replying to everyone until someone sent him a part list
i dont know how people overpay for imac and any apple product
microsoft is 50% cheaper for the same s***
you can tell apple targets autists
getting out of the apple ecosystem is so delicious
always staying in the Google ecosystem>> all hail Google
I dont know s*** about computers but apple stuff sucks. One only has to look at the average type of chomo who owns them to know this. They typically substitute confidence for intelligence, defer moral integrity to follow whatever is trending and worst of all; almost always smell like hot dog water.
So many horrible takes in this thread from both sides LMFAO.
M1 macbook air and a gaming rig gonna be the meta this decade
