gamma lt would probably be fine the Zeta SL would be a proper rain shell though

i dont know how often it rains in texas but i can tell you the gamma is super durable meant for light rain, high energy activity like climbing. a beta lt or beta ar would probably be better suited for dogwalking or commuting than the zeta sl. zeta sl has goretex paclite which actually has the same water resistance as goretex pro but is less durable as its intended to be an emergency shell

actually im just thinkng about it right now goretex pro might be overkill maybe just 3l or 2l but that depends on how often it rains where youre at

Thanks for your info yeah I just need a everyday rain jacket I can put on to walk to the car or store and work. I had the squamish hoody but that was too thin and felt like it wouldn’t keep me dry

But besides that, I think it's a strong shade of grey and should pair well with most colors

hi sorry for late reply i'd probably say to get a zeta lt which does not have paclite

also be aware the zeta line has slim fit compared to beta or alpha so id be a bit harder to layer
