When Kendrick drops there could be more interest in that style of lyrical rap again, for a while it seems like Thug/Uzi/Carti/Dababy/YB style of rap has been really popping and taking over rap. Gibbs, JID, Earthgang, Griselda, Cordae, Isaiah, Smino, Kota, and Saba all have potential to do numbers for being lyrical rappers.

like carti can rap at least, bro freestyles his s*** and keeps it short and not complex so it fits w the sound better, but if u familiar w his older s*** u know he can spit, and u would know that he started because he was good w lyrics, not bc of his voice.

I get that a lot of complex words and serious topics don't fit on the type instrumentals most rappers use today but imagine how much harder a dude like summrs could be if he actually said s*** in his songs
