NoirA lot of people don't think it's very good, which is not great if you insist on calling something a classic instead of just a successful album
Its rep has definitely improved in light of worse projects he's put out since though

maybe im biased cause i grew up with that album but C5 was real disappointing for me after the initial hype and excitement wore off

only argument i see against it is the lack of influence and it being a little bloated
I'm a Wayne fan.
That said, C4 isn't a true classic.
It's very inconsistent musically and Wayne's lyricism took a bit of a dive outside 6 Foot 7 Foot.
The features also do too much heavy lifting on the album imho.
It's not bad but it's not really the type of album that showcases Wayne being the Best Rapper Alive. C3 and C2 have more songs where Wayne's more dominant as a rapper and lyricist.
My own hot take is that C5 is probably more deserving of classic status due to being Wayne's most introspective album, doing big numbers, containing great raps/lyrics, and the lore behind how it got delayed for so long but still came through.
