I'm not voting for De La Cruz so youre wasting your breath. But also I dont blame people who do, youre sort of attaching more importance to this than their needs to be.
e: wait youre not even voting but youre berating people for not voting for jill stein? bro go clean your house or something, youre obviously just bored and looking to argue online lol.
I never said you did, I implied that you should be directing your criticism at them instead of calling me a Biden cultist from the left, however you deduced that.
Just don't tell me I'm taking this too seriously for coming at people who are taking voting seriously for their own self-aggrandizement
Winning was not my point my point was about getting 5% of the national vote
and it doesn’t matter either way is my point
vote for whoever you want or continue not voting at all
On the ground work is more important right now than determining which party can gain X percentage of votes in electoral politics
If you disagree with PSL tactics of running or think it’s LARP you are entitled to that, doesn’t change the reality of where the American left is in electoral politics

You're voting to spread awareness around disrupting the duopoly. But in the face of a giant milestone for third parties being achieved that will help spread a significant amount of critical awareness against the duopoly, all of a sudden it doesn't matter who the left coalesces around.
And in the face of Stein getting 5% you should be able to at least provide some sort of meaningful answer as to why Claudia is the better candidate for the left than Jill Stein, when she's not even polling over 0%. It's emblematic of the ways in which the PSL constantly gaslights and inserts itself as an arbiter and authority in left spaces, to the detriment of those very same spaces. It's everyone else's job to do on the ground work, and also to make sure to donate to ANSWER and Claudia's campaign!

C&K are communists I align with them politically more than Stein
All of your other comments are just your own disagreements with PSL, again continue not voting. It doesn’t matter to me. Every PSL branch is different im sorry your experience with your local ones have been off putting.
I don’t care about poll statistics, it’s cool that the Green Party is doing that.
Hopefully you can find an organization near you to continue organizing with that better aligns with your values.
That’s all I can say. I’m not going back and forth over why I think C&K is a viable candidate because they are ML and organize in a way I think is effective. Outside of that any party that is anti-imperialism, anti-racist, anti-capitalist should be given a spot
All there is to it. We just have disagreements over tactics at this point so there is no point in debating because we are going to disagree on that as a whole.
Continue not voting and I’ll continue doing me
But getting caught up on why im not voting for x,y,z specific third party candidate in 2024 just so you can semi-rant about an org you don’t like is for your own thread
You already said you don’t vote. So keep not voting and go talk to your local circles about the candidate you think is best (or why you don’t vote) and I’ll do me. That’s all there is to it

how are PSL interlopers on the left but not the Green Party, an organization that is explicitly anti-communist
i dont have a problem with criticism of PSL but I'd take this little rant of yours a bit more seriously if you were at least somewhat consistent
there's this unstated premise in your logic that getting a candidate to 5% matters but youre not explaining why, so I'm gonna assume its something inherited from "common sense" liberalism

There's no inconsistency the Green Party is eco-fascist garbage and PSL isn’t any better. If Claudia was polling at 5%, i’d have nothing to say.
There is not one meaningful issue that CDLC and Jill Stein disagree on, DLC’s platform is just Stein’s platform sprinkled with ML aesthetics and vague references to Lenin.
The issue is not even one candidate over another, the issue is that the same stubbornness around supporting a PSL candidate over another policy-aligned candidate who has a better chance of securing federal funding bleeds into cult thinking and an approach that actively harms unions, protest movements, and people currently on the ground, like myself.
Hundreds of the same people in NY that, for years, have shown out to People's Forum events + PSL protests are actively choosing not to show out for anything PSL-related now and for good reason. It's ineffective opposition and proudly self-defeating. Instances like these aren't entirely divorced from those sentiments either.

dawg who cares about "securing federal funding"
idk what you mean by "harming" unions either. you need to make a specific critique of PSL's labor engagement, otherwise youre being meaninglessly vague. for example I think they basically tail the union bureaucracies but thats hardly unique to PSL, almost every "left" organization in the US with labor ties uncritically parrots union leadership. SEP are really the only major exception but even they dont adopt a "red union" strategy.
They're going to have the least ballot access out of any of the three candidates. They've shown up in virtually 0 polls state by state. Out of the three candidates, it's the purest example of LARP and self-satisfaction.
It's not the result of your political position that’s important, it’s how your position fulfills a purely abstract criteria that’s important. Obviously this should be applied to a much deeper context when interrogating electoralism but I don't know how a communist could say that they'd be less effective in communicating Jill Stein's politics than Claudia De La Cruz/Karina Garcia, the ladder of whom are sub-par public speakers and speech givers themselves.
i dont think LARP is the right word for voting or writing in someone that’s not the main candidate
like i feel like you’re taking that too seriously but that being said my opinion on voting these days is have fun everybody make sure you pee before standing in line

Why is this so hard? If they choose to give validity to electoralism then it seems as if securing federal funding for a candidate whose policies critically align with anti-capitalist/imperialist sentiments would be paramount over any party or organization allegiance.
I share your same critique of PSL members in unions being tailist and of broader “left” organizations (anecdotally, I've heard about this most prevalently with people in teachers unions and UAW). It’s not meaninglessly vague bc it’s not each individual person with a red PSL shirt who assumes the hubris to meddle their way into being a lapdog for unions, pta boards, neighborhood boards, churches, cops and local political movements, it’s the org that enables that hubris by design. This was highly evident during the Teamsters strikes last summer - they just made the whole thing about themselves - even though they contributed no real organizational efforts to the strike: the-masses.org/2023/08/22/the-labor-aristocracy-and-tailism-in-the-communist-movement-how-cpusa-psl-and-frso-betrayed-rank-and-file-ups-teamsters/comment-page-1/#comments

trans people make up a disproportionate amount of the US prison population, your existence is already "criminalized"
also why does your life matter more than a palestinian child?
Oy vey

And yea I am actually
Ironically for the reason that niggas are being willfully short sighted about.
This thread is a prime example of why the political section needs to be abolished.
Telling a trans person who's rightly scared about their life/well being/medical services being cut off because of the right and y'all really telling her to die.
Y'all niggas ain't on s*** and need to get some New Aunts.
