Never even seen the theatrical version tbh

finally got around to watching it and enjoyed it, aster showing consistency on a higher budget. great aesthetics and general design, great shock value, weak characters - all just like the rest of his stuff so far

I thought the characters were perfect. To me it wasn't about them as people but their toxic relationships

The dude just trying to freeload of his friends work for his thesis, not being able to be there for his gf after the trauma or be honest to her that he can't because he doesn't love her anymore

It was all perfect to me because what was given us was enough to understand how everything could play out that quickly the way it did

are we ready to admit this is a cinematic classic or are we still trying to be edgy??

Everyone I’ve recommended this to has said its garbage it genuinely makes me upset
