If Ye was still in the same maximalist highly conceptual and collaborative mood as he was back in 2009/2010, who would make the cut?

I'm thinking artists who would benefit from fully branching into rap and hip-hop, not necessarily as rappers but just offering their talents in a way that would complement that kind of sound, in the same way Bon Iver/James Blake/Charlie Wilson/Cudi/HudMo/Daft Punk/Arca have done in the past

some artists who come to mind for me:

I think FATD was strikingly similar and Drake was coming off Honestly Nevermind and Her Loss which is almost a reverse combo of Grad/808 combo Ye was coming off. Both are 10/10 masterpieces that came after divisive and popular albums

Only way he's be able to make another "MBDTF" is if he were to link up with all-time greats again.

No modern artist is capable of contributing to a record that's held to that high of praise.

    lil twist

imagine if lil twist wrote everything instead of cyhi

  • A modern day MBDTF would have Ye working with newer artists like Yeat, Teezo Touchdown, Sexyy Red and also legend like Cole, SZA, Bad Bunny. And have high end production from 40, OZ, Vinylz, Southside, Boi-1da. And career defining massive hits like First Person Shooter, IDGAF, Rich Baby Daddy
