How would I ever be able to not listen to rythm and poetry

    As cheesy as it sounds

I need that s*** in my life bro

Other styles of music will never have my head and mind bopping at the same time

not even outgrowing rap its just it's the easiest genre for trash kids to try and make music in. If no the easiest maybe most accessible and popular music atm.

When you see s*** like that corny ass backpack kid making "rap" "music" you know s*** going south

this is true as well, young people trying to capitalize in the moment, and thats cool w me.

its just the way things are pushed nowadays which disappoint me

@Zaywop made a great point tho, it could just possibly be the era were in right now as well and artists have found ways to get famous by being overly negative.. hes right tho, something good may come in a few years finally returning everything back to a baseline

true, maybe something more in your realm will come along

    i agree. great point cookies.

i guess maybe if anything were all outgrowing ktt..

Meh I never took this site too seriously for music recs and such outside of a a handful or so of users. It used to be better here back when there was more variety in rap (2012-2015) but all in all it’s whatever I guess

exactly. i love dudes who you can really understand what their going through on the track and everything.. thats why it feels like all this "turn up" s*** thats been front running rap for the last few years really just seems like an escape from reality..

yo check this song out by the way, tell me what you think:

this is what i mean when i say "progressive rap"

but I think that infests and poisons the rest of the catalog of good s*** out. There's still good up n coming artist people like MIKE but you gotta weed out the bad eggs.

Good art will stand the test of time it always does. S*** that reflects a point in time will wither away and be forgotten

futsal shuffle is the most forward thinking ahead of its time production on a hit song this year lol, bad example

I think I'll never outgrow rap as a whole but I definitely outgrew the mainstream at some point. It's so one-dimensional, it f***ing hurts and those a******s are so obviously just in for the money, it's just a f***ing business at this point. I think the moment I really stopped giving a f*** about the largest part of new mainstream/hype albums was the point when people like Pump, Xan, Yachty blew up and when the majority of artists who have been good in the past stopped sounding original or giving a f***. I feel like very few artists even care about their legacy at this point. They are just looking for that hit single to blow up so they can get money and b****es This genre is the new pop and it has literally become the holy grail for youngins without any real passion for the music.

yea i used to be on here to discover new artists but it seems like the user base either got younger or music just got worse / oversaturated..

funny thing is in every other music section on ktt1 like rock and indie everyone would get along and there was great discussion.. the rap s*** is just memes or mid music

  • You never outgrow rap if it’s apart of your culture. Trash artist in every generation just expand who you listen to

zero beat/song progression and lyrics could be copy pasted from any other uzi song.

cool beat but thats literally ALL it has ... and the beat being different doesnt make it good either

  • Dec 26, 2019

I’m kinda over mainstream generic s*** but hip hop as a genre will always be part of my life

i didn't mind the song, but to me it just felt like another really short shelf-life song and it really has not much replay value

if i never listen to another rap song made after 2019 again

theres still so much good rap music from years past

ur not outgrowing rap music, people of all ages just make rap music now like they're permanently 18 and rap about carnal s*** thats only really cool or exceptional when ur younger. no introspection/reflection/analysis beyond surface level

the nature of trap beats being the dominant production style also contributes to this
