Yes, because characters grow through their experiences. Or at least they're supposed to. I don't expect Eren to all of a sudden start acting like his season 1 15 year old self again
Not necessarily tho, not when you're in his condition. And he does grow, because he gets to understand himself better, and thats one key part in maturing. From recognizing how dumb he sounded when he threatened reiner, to his confession to ramzi, to him asking mikasa what he meant for her, to his convo with falco, 139 and the cabin scene. He has traits that are his nature and will never change, like all characters have, and just because those arent likeable or commendable doesnt mean he doesnt grow at all, and good writing doesnt necessarily entail character growth.

Eren cried like he usually does when Sasha hit the grave though

I don't got a problem with him crying, it's him crying over Mikasa getting with another man

Lol idk who said anything about absolving Eren
In the past, Hajime Isayama has spoken about whether Eren has developed more romantic feelings for Mikasa. In the third volume of Gekkan Shingeki no Kyojin, Hajime addressed the issue point-blank, and you can read his response below:
"For Eren, rather than a lover, Mikasa's presence is more like a mother to him. The love towards a mother is considered valuable precious, however at the same time, there are annoying parts as well laugh," the creator said.
"Just like towards one's actual mother, Eren will start to grow up when he becomes independent move away/not dependent on from Mikasa, I might draw this scene one day."
But apparently he always wrote Mikasa as Eren's love interest?
If you're gonna post titanfolk memes we can end the discussion here i thought you were arguing in good faith

I'm trying to out-troll you because no way you are trying to justify Eren crying about Mikasa being with other men instead of IDK killing your own mother?
Armin stops him right before he was about to break down about it, you can see it in his face. What is this guy on about? Titan folk was fun while it lasted but since the ending it has spawned some sort of rhetoric that doesn’t make since given the context

In the past when AoT was still early in meaning at that point that is how he was approaching Eren. Eren started to care more about Mikasa as the series progressed and it was always clear he was giving mixed signals ever since season 2.

Mixed signals
bUt MUh ERah and HiStRia WaR BaBy
Idc about shipping s*** but Eren being determined to go through his plan to protect his child makes way more sense than the bullshit we got. It's clear to me that was the original vision and it was retconned
Mixed signals
I can’t believe you’re still mad you didn’t get your dream Eren x Historia baby lol

Find me something that even hints that Eren had feelings towards Historia since you wanna bring up interviews.
Make that war baby ”motivation” ending make more sense than Isayama made his story make sense.

Bro I'm not having a shipping war with you nigga. I just felt like there was a lot of hints that Eren was the father of her child and it would make sense why Eren was so determined to go through with his plan while even putting his friends' lives on the line. All so his child could have freedom. That makes way more sense than the bullshit we got As you shown, Isayama changes his mind a lot. Clearly he changed his mind
Actually it would be even more f***ed up if they had a baby. Eren’s dad ate her sister. That would be some sinister s*** especially with all the paths f***ery. That nigga Eren was traumatized after a hand kiss he woulda been on suicide watch after hitting.

It’s not about the ship bro! It’s about what makes SENSE
And what can be proven through Isayama’s words or illustration and ain’t none of that was hinted at. it was only a theory

Changed his mind from what? Lol he has said several times this is how he saw the story ending from the beginning.
Just say that it didn’t end how you expected bro it’s okay you don’t have to call everything “bad writing” just because you don’t agree with it.
It’s not about the ship bro! It’s about what makes SENSE
Historia chooses not to marry the farmer before having the baby. She is chastised for this because having a baby out of wedlock is a bad look as a ruler. She marries him years later in the ending so why not marry before having the baby? The multiple scenes of visual storytelling where Historia gives birth right as Eren is killed and Eren's severed head transitions to the face of Historia's child. Eren shared his whole plan with Historia as well.
Just read chapter 130
It makes sense why Eren would be so strongly against Zeke's plan because if Zeke succeeds, Historia's child will die. Why would Eren be so determined to complete the rumbling while even getting his friend's killed (Hange and Flock) and putting them in danger? Because he wants to build a new world for his child to be free of the history of oppression. That makes sense to me. But ay he's just an idiot, right?
I'm trying to out-troll you because no way you are trying to justify Eren crying about Mikasa being with other men instead of IDK killing your own mother?
Because he's already cried and grieved over that. This convo technically the last convo he has with after everything has happened. Eren literally ignored Mikasa for the sake of trying to finish this rumbling s***. He wouldn't have entertained running away and f***ing Mikasa for four years in her final memory of him
If you want to critique on the fact Mikasa and Eren don't make sense then you're ignoring the fact
Eren and Historia have literally never shared a mutual romantic link. The idea of Eren making Historia have a baby is framed as a tool and "option" which doesn't have any romantic feelings at all.
Which would just boil down to Isiyama not being good at writing romance.
