Hell levi slapped his ass and eren didnt even fight back he knew he f***ed up, he even broke down hearing about sasha's death, which he caused btw. Eren only knows how to charge forward, hes always done It and its the reason he always get caught. There's the dialogue between hannes, armin and mikasa in S2 (where this happens too btw, eren gets emotional, transforms into titan and is defeated by reiner and bertholdt) and they reminisce of all the times eren left went ahead and left his friends behind, its in character, no matter how stoic he looks.
that stoic rebrand hooked a lot of em in didn't it? lmao
it was made funnier by the fact that imo porco is basically the same as pre-time skip eren but they were constantly s***ting on porco
the lack of self-awareness was lmao
Actually it would be even more f***ed up if they had a baby. Eren’s dad ate her sister. That would be some sinister s*** especially with all the paths f***ery. That nigga Eren was traumatized after a hand kiss he woulda been on suicide watch after hitting.
p**** so good it take me to the paths
Someone said there’s only one singular timeline in this universe. Idk how to even conceive of someone being able to view the past, present and future if time is linear, so maybe take that with a grain of salt
yeah, i don't think that would make sense for there to only be one singular timeline either.
everything Eren sees is based on memories meaning something that has already happened at some point so it's not like it's one singular timeline and he's time traveling.
This would be it (if Isayama wants to take it there)
I mean Geekmin & Gothkasa already appear in season 4 so it’s as confirmed as it gets.
after I posted that I did some searching and most of the theories point to this being the "real" timeline or just the beginning, which, idk, I feel like that would be such a big s***post if true
“Historia's backstory was created to shed more empathy to what Eren was going on at that time. He lost his purpose after finding out his dad ate the remaining hope for mankind’s survival. And within that despair, Eren witnessed the very similar Historia releasing herself from the Reiss curse. This made him decide that he too should do the same.”
This is straight from Isayama, detailing Historia in Eren’s eyes after what happened in the Reiss cave and explains why Eren wanted better for her.
The tone of the conversation they had about the rumbling doesn’t even feel romantic, they are literally just talking about ways to keep her from being turned into a titan and basically becoming Ymir #362268 in the Fritz/Reiss bloodline making babies just to pass down a titan.
Eren thought it was f***ed up that she was losing her freedom just for the continuation of that cycle she broke out of.
SHE suggest that she gets pregnant only because that would keep the military from turning her into a titan. The father was irrelevant, Isayama purposefully made him irrelevant but explained his significance to Historia within the manga so irrelevant or not his identity was ONLY the focus for a short conversation between a bunch of incompetent chatty patty ass niggas.

Isayama really fumbled her character so hard post timeskip

if that’s how you feel that’s how you feel. It’s not her story.

Obviously but her having almost no presence in the story post timeskip after the uprising arc is disappointing.
If you want to critique on the fact Mikasa and Eren don't make sense then you're ignoring the fact
Eren and Historia have literally never shared a mutual romantic link. The idea of Eren making Historia have a baby is framed as a tool and "option" which doesn't have any romantic feelings at all.
Which would just boil down to Isiyama not being good at writing romance.
That's why the Eren Mikasa s*** feels so forced. Isayama never did the shipping garbage but he shoehorned in that scene. I'm more just focused on how much stronger the motivations behind Eren's character in part 2 would be if the child was his. There's enough evidence in the manga that either the author was purposely trying to mislead readers or he changed his plans imo
Isayama really fumbled her character so hard post timeskip
I agree it's a weird way to shelve her away in the character cabinet, but idk what else would you do with her if
1. No one is willing to risk her life
2. She wants to be free from the curse
3. The focus is on the Marley vs Eldia
Obviously but her having almost no presence in the story post timeskip after the uprising arc is disappointing.
Don't even try to argue with @TheSecondDream2 . He's a complete d***rider that won't accept any critiques on the story even though Historia was built up to be an important character in part 1

I mean she is the queen and her stance on not wanting genocide in comparison to the yaegarists could have been touched on.

I’m not even tryna argue but she was def done dirty by isayama, especially given her parallels with ymir
Bro I'm not having a shipping war with you nigga. I just felt like there was a lot of hints that Eren was the father of her child and it would make sense why Eren was so determined to go through with his plan while even putting his friends' lives on the line. All so his child could have freedom. That makes way more sense than the bullshit we got As you shown, Isayama changes his mind a lot. Clearly he changed his mind
I can agree that I thought this was the case too, but I’m not mad it wasn’t
I can agree that I thought this was the case too, but I’m not mad it wasn’t
I wouldn't mind if the alternative was better but it isn't and ruins Eren's character imo
while i still like the ending I think my biggest issue is timeskip needed more Chapters. I feel like no marleyan besides reiner is as well developed as any of the paradis characters
Isayama really fumbled her character so hard post timeskip
Agree. I don’t think the baby was the answer though but the fact that she was absent when all the political scheming was happening was a huge L imo
I’m not even tryna argue but she was def done dirty by isayama, especially given her parallels with ymir
I wasn’t either
I mean she is the queen and her stance on not wanting genocide in comparison to the yaegarists could have been touched on.
she did express how she felt, Eren said nah f*** that and gas lit her lol
No ending is perfect. What a great journey to get there. A lot of things I wish would’ve been done differently, but still everything was great up until the very end
Was completely wrong about Mikasa. Was completely wrong about Eren.
elaborate on the last part. what did you see in them prior to the ending and how did it change after?
it’s funny to me how i never really liked him until season 4 when he became kinda badass, only for him to go out like that and leave my girl mikasa hanging
I also give this series all the props in the world for indirectly putting me on to Code Geass lol
I will say, in Isayama’s defense, it’s so much easier to do that type of bait and switch when the scope is as small as what they did with Lelouch. With this show, Eren is the plot driver of the cycle of hatred they’ve displayed, but he also has to fit in this whole time travel aspect that he did so well for most of the chapter. I don’t think CG has any time travel iirc
i was about to reply to your other message saying the ending is code geass in worse, but you are right that it was easier to pull of in CG. and lelouch was an actual genius too. however i still find the reasoning behind eren‘s rumbling very questionable
