I should mention though that the only real problem I have with Albion One is that it sounds a little synthy, if you got Albion V with it you could layer some of the more aleatoric strings patches with it and it makes it sound much more realistic and life like. My main string library right now is Hans Zimmer Strings but I always later Albion V under it

Spitfire actually released the older version of Albion ONE strings for like $30, might try picking that up since it’s so cheap and it’s basically the same thing

what reverb are you working with btw? the reverb setting are gonna be important too and also your eq too

Most of the time i use the FL internal Fruity Reverb (Sometimes Guitar Rig) and Parametric EQ 2. When I work with Kontakt instruments I adjust the reverb in the individual instrument.
Is this bad? Would you recommend getting Fabfilter?

highly recommend fabfilter. when i used fruity parametric before i was always like its an eq what difference does it make but then i switched and ill never go back or to any other eq its amazing. and the reverb on that specific instrument isnt necessarily bad but id recommend having a reverb send that you use for you verbs even if you still keep the kontakt verb on there but not too much but it all just depends on the effect and what you're doing it for. Having one reverb send will bring everything together better in your track and keep things consistent then also you dont have to keep making a reverb for every track and it saves cpu so its a better way to go in every way for you but its not bad to use multiple verbs if you're doing it for a certain sound but that reverb send is pretty much necessary. The reverb i recommend most is the fabfilter pro R and not to be a fabfilter fan but their products are some of the best in the game. Reverbs have different styles tho so it all depends on what you want stylistically so a lot of people use different reverbs for different things but the pro R is probably the best all around reverb

Even if you dont wanna drop money on it you can just pirate it for free. Tbh really hard for me to recommend people go out and spend a lot on plugins without making money from music already. A lot of people let the lack of plugins hold them back tho but you can get them for free easily but its important to be able to know how to use them fully though because plugins dont make things better automatically but they do help your sound. My recommendation is to get the plugins but also go on youtube or any place that teaches about mixing and sound design and learn everything you need to know about using them.

Fruity reverb is fine. Stock eq's are fine too. Just do some reading about eqing reverb sends.

I'd recommend learning what you have before cracking/buying plugins.

Stock daw stuff is fully capable of sounding good, no matter which daw you are using.

got some instructions in there and just used all stock plugins (except one which was more of an add on but its free and i recommend it)
