I will widen on a send, or rout it to a send with distortion and inverted phase on a channel.

I will for the most part try to blend it in with the original signal.

But bass definitely is not limited to being mono.

Use some sort of lr gain visualizer to see it. Pull up professional tracks and you will see what I mean. Some bass patterns look crazy in a stereo field. I will send pictures here if I remember the next time I'm looking at something interesting.

Like lower frequencies played back at the same sample rate as higher frequencies will have more fidelity within a sine cycle?
