You can use an eq to separate the centre and the sides of a sound. Cut out the lows on the side and cut out the highs on the centre

You can do anything in everything. Ableton is actually excellent for mixing. The only reason pro tools is the “industry standard” for mixing is that it is the most compatible with studio hardware.

Also plugins like OTT and fresh air completely change that s***. There’s so many insane free tools at our disposal rn
