    It wouldn’t have been impossible.

This news leaked months ago but nobody seriously believed it because of how far fetched it sounded.

And as far as on set photos go, RDJ could’ve remained in the mask for any shooting on location so even through leaked photos you wouldn’t be able to tell it was him

The leak didn’t make noise because it just said it was an idea not that it was a done deal

And it wasn’t posted by the big accounts yet but it would’ve eventually once more sources had the news

Leaks are inside jobs…there would’ve been pics of RDJ no matter how well they tried to hide it…like the Spider-Man pics

It’s better that they were able to reveal it themselves

    Gave us an iconic clip

True, but I think it’s different because the Spider-Men returning was an open secret and completely obvious when that movie was initially announced, and even more obvious when the trailer dropped and the villains from the first two franchises were revealed to be in the movie.

The RDJ stuff is different because he as an actor has no ties to the character Dr. Doom whatsoever, and it would’ve been extremely easy to hide the actor on set since the character spends most of his time under a mask.

But I guess they kinda had to reveal the actor playing him since the movie’s title is literally his name, it would’ve been a bit odd if the actor for the movie’s namesake wasn’t in the billing whatsoever

He’s always been a great actor, people just discredit him nowadays because he’s like the symbol of superhero movies at this point. They see his face and think “bad capeshit”

I’ve seen other people feel that way too, but I most definitely disagree

I think he completely immersed himself in that role and delivered a very memorable performance. There’s a lot of nuance to what he did in the role imo

Oldman and Affleck blew me away in one scene. RDJ's performance seems graded on the curve of "wow Tony Stark becomes different guy"
