I get that. I felt that way around 2020 and took a huge break from gaming until 2022. I felt better after. I just made sure to:
-be honest about games that I like and find fun rather than forcing myself to play something just because other people recommend it or if it's popular
-dont feel like I have to finish a game if I'm not enjoying it after playing.
-buy 1 game at a time and don't rush through games. Buy them when you're ready to play, regardless of sales

Basically don't treat it like a job, which a lot of gaming related media encourages you to do since it keeps you in the cycle and consuming constantly to the detriment of your wellbeing

I’ll get on the game sometimes at the end of a work day, and I’ll really be doing it just to balance things out lol. Like, I spent 8 hours doing something I’d rather not be doing, so it’s only right that I spend the last few hours of my day doing something for myself. Even if I don’t actually feel like gaming that night, I’ll still force myself to do it

LA Noire is in fact, mad boring

If you passed on on Watch Dogs 2 or Sleeping Dogs before, they are the most fun open world GTA esque games I’ve ever played

Don’t expect the level of detail and polish of other Rockstar games if you still want to play it

I think it was lack of funds and time constraints from what I read. Though I might be remembering that wrong. But it's not surprising. I didnt finish the game but watched most of the cutscenes on YouTube and the story and performances were stellar. They missed on the gameplay portion unfortunately which is a huge problem for a video game
