This happens every four years because our options in this political binary we've established are f***ing horrible

The power in party f***s up their shot, everyone wants change, the other side promises change, everything stays the same with them in power, then we go back

You'll see the same s*** in 2028, 2032 and so on

Which is crazy because this election is literally between two people who were already president, we obviously ain't getting no change lol

ive been holding this one off for a minute bc i didn’t want to believe it myself, but holy s*** im seeing a lot of niggas (and latinos, and pretty much every poc) that becoming alt-righters every day now. so much so that i fully believe now that it’s “cool” to be far right at this point. what the f*** happened man bc biden, while far from perfect, has been doing a seemingly ok job given the circumstances. has social media and “the culture” rotted niggas brains this much? i need to know cause goddamn man

Because most people truly aren't educated on the new aunts of politics and assume that oh, because we had a democrat the last 4 years and the economy went to s*** (mind you Biden actually has the lowest black unemployment rate which is a point many new black Trumpers use to justify supporting trump) they think that's "oh he'll fix everything" only to realize that it won't be once it's too late v

Because Biden has been garbage, we had more money/everything was way cheaper, and no wars under Trump

Because men are becoming increasingly stupid, cynical and unappreciative of the systems and people that helped them get to where they are today. And then when those systems are starting to fall apart because of their lack of support they try to blame anyone but themselves.

what’s the basis of the republican being a working class party other than their own words for its. Their as much a middle class party as the democrats they just represent a different faction

also most immigrants well speaking about indian americans at least tend to be middle class and came from middle class families

also it’s important to recognize that the president is not responsible for inflation

it is the capitalist system working as intended

but people always see bigger systemic things as falling onto the president

we had more money/everything was way cheaper

pretty simple, trump as a populist leader to his base stands outside the establishment. his base distrusts the federal government and they see him as a self-made tycoon (we know he is not) and they project values of productivity and self-reliance on Trump. it also helps that he is a charismatic figure aka the twitter goat.

I read a great article years ago that his base has three factions: those who want protection, stability and order (traditional conservatives), those who want disruption and revenge (alt-right, frustrated white people) and those motivated by socio-economic frustration (those OP mentioned, usually minorities looking to move up the food chain)

if you view his entire base as alt-righters you're misunderstanding how much sway he actually has. his presidential campaign was masterful. an outsider basically using twitter to become president is one of the triumphs of modern democracy imo

ironically he has more appeal now that he is the establishment, the GOP is his party now

Whats sad is by 2026 or 27 when nothing has really changed or perhaps has gotten worse ppl won't blame trump for it like they do biden, they will come up with excuse #356,547.

yeah see it always takes about 2/3 years after a presidents term to see their economic policies really kick in. ironically same s*** that biden is going through now is the same s*** you obama was going through in 2011-12, except obama was actually charming and charismatic and biden is……biden

Believing in a conspiracy is cool. It gives people a sense of agency taking part in a “forbidden knowledge”

People also think Trump is anti establishment and being subversive to the current establishment appeals to them

I’m not saying it’s right but that’s my assessment

How on Earth do people truly think profits are always gonna increase lmao

The brain rot to think that is insane

I mean billion dollar firms make it happen year after year to everyone's wonder.

But apparently raising wages and benefits was gonna be unsustainable!

It’d vary by state. But here in Texas we ended the lockdown on a day that we had a record amount of deaths

    We barely did s*** here
