    Very excited for this

Played through all of Divinity Original Sin 2 for like a month straight (game is GOAT) two months ago n it got me more hyped for this

I need to upgrade my computer

glad you had fun with divinity OS2 also one of my favorite games ever

however I am literally so confident Baldurs Gate 3 will surpass it in every way

No, its basically a sequel in name and setting only.

Here and there a reference or a returning character but the story is a complete fresh start.

Unlike Baldur’s Gate 3’s other playable protagonists, the Dark Urge is a fully customisable character. Should you prefer that this darkness take the shape of a doe-eyed gnome instead, or think true evil is a half-orc armed with a bongo, the choice is yours: from your class and species, to your gender and overall appearance, and even your name.

Who is the Dark Urge, then? That’s a good question, and it’s one that players will answer for themselves as they journey down this dark path. As the Dark Urge, you begin Baldur’s Gate 3 with your memory lost after an unfortunate encounter between a parasitic tadpole and your brain. Now all that’s left is an insatiable urge – an urge that makes itself known in your subconscious, through your deepest thoughts and in your dialogue options.

So choosing that would mean a different main story?

not entirely but your playthrough will be very different than when playing as default or as any other of the possible origin story characters. You will have new dialogue, cutscenes and get new quests and can also make lots of more evil choices. Kinda like the basic murder hobo that wants to kill every character. Except you dont have to give in you can still be a good guy and your story will revolve around avoiding these dark urges (hence character name)

its kinda hard to explain the way this game works and to properly sell the massive scope it has without writing paragraphs sorry

I’m gonna be putting an unholy amount of hours into this game man.

    A truly embarrassing amount.

Like a “Oh my God, I’m such a f***ing loser.” amount of hours.

Already have 70 hours in early access, which was like 3 replays that all felt entirely different and I havent even done all of it plus never did an evil playthrough. All of that just Act 1 (where they said 33% will still be added to)

Honestly can see myself getting 500 hours out of that game at one point. The replayability is gonna be unreal

Dont have a steam deck but this site gives you some info about how it runs on the steam deck: protondb.com/app/1086940

People definitely have been playing the early access with it and larian said they are also a fan of it so a full integration seems likely but after release

Also game is 150gb of space, but you can play it offline
